Reminds me of linocut , need 3.5 g of zoomers to get through that fiddly bit. Not really but a joint anyway. Discovered water oils recently, was a hard-core acrylic painter. Use both ,more fun now. ✌️
That first step was interesting and helpful. I don’t claim to be an artist but I like to do fun seasonal "pieces" for the kids at the school where I work. This month will be Boris Karloff and Bella Lugosi. Cheers from across the pond.
Great, I always thought the white part was actually a separate stencil, thanks for this. And. using a scalpel was good info, most would have started with a box knife. It would be ironic if you were actually banksy. Perhaps you are but then he gets his art on the wall within a minute, 40 seconds actually (French security camera captured him in 2018)
I've just remembered lol. We're studying street art in school rn, and banksy came up. We looked at some of his works, and I just i remembered that I had seen one of his works, not too long ago, that said "I want change" on my way to school. Finna take that whole bus stop for myself lmaooo Edit: thank you for these stencilling videos by the way! I sort of have to make my own for my art project, but its proving difficult, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.. do you have any tips-? ty ^^
@@Cutitout. I want to say everything, but specifically, I think it's the cutting out part. We use a box knife in my school, which is kinda similar to the scalpel, but when I compare my stencil to the other ones ppl are doing, it just looks super rough, and not.. stencil-like?
Yo so I know this is an quit old video can u leave some tips can I get famouse like Banksy I'm 13 but I wanna be like him any tips also I don't want anyone to know my identity I don't want to brags but is it OK if u send me the equipment for the graffitie like the hot mat graffiti and also sharp thanks man
So thanks man for replying man I love Banksy does Banksy use this technique and I'm 13 if I keep practicing do u think I can be like him and you also can you send me some good graffiti cans and also the blade and mat thanks man hope u reply your a legend.
So I mostly Montana 94 spray paint but it doesn’t really matter what spray paint you use, get yourself a good craft knife with some 10a blades..... they are super sharp so be careful when using them. You should check some of my other videos out and then just keep practicing. Banksys style can be very easy to copy so if I were you, try and find your own style using the same techniques. Hope that helps you.... let me know how you get on ..... just keep trying new things and keep practicing
OK man thanks one more does Banksy use the technique your using BTW I did just buy the Montana soo yeah. Sorry for many questions it's my first time I have one more question is it OK if you do a tutorial step by step on how to create a stencil and spray it on a wall like Banksy thanks man also can I get a shoutout in the nest vide haha lol thanks man anyway
I have a question: if I want to try this at home is it worth getting an airbrush? An airbrush kit costs about the same as 10-12 spraycans (about £80) and I've already got a pretty big acrylic paints collection. Will airbrush give the same effect or am I better off using spraypaints?
Great video, I've never studied any of this super-closely but for some reason thought that the hand, the figure's left hand with fingers pointing, required a separate stencil.
@@Cutitout. another way is to get a cake projector and just project an 8.5x11 A4 for Europe onto a piece of poster board. That looked painful I’m working on a large scale plotter for this type of work as I write this.
He sprayed it with white first, then over sprayed the area with white again after removing the stencil so that it bled over the edges. The result is that you saw the white area after the black was applied using the stencil.
