*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*
Just bought one of this but it won’t power my refrigerator when I plug in the breaker shuts off then I have to reset it it only does it with the fridge. Any advice ???
Turn the generator off by cutting the fule, this way all the gas is run out of the generator and won't gum it up while sitting. Also advise to add oil to new champion generators as they ship with no oil in the crank case.
Thanks so much my guy This helped me so much today I’m a production assistant and I’m on set for a indie film and we have to wear many hats and fill many roles yesterday I was a painter today I am a handy man/electrician 😂💪🏾💯
I have the very same generator. Mine been setting for 3 months. Got it out today and that little work horse started first pull. I ran it for 7 days in in an power outage. I couldn't believe I was the only one on my street that had a generator. Neighbors would come by and ask me to charge there batteries and phones. Friends came over and we would wach DVD movies and pop popcorn and hot drinks. Seems to me a generator is a very important thing to have these days because we have record breaking weather every year.
Thank you sir and I was wondering and can't find a video about it. But do these generators have an oil filter? I know some do because you can see them but what about these ? I looked everywhere and couldn't find one
@@DaxM well I found out not all portable generators have an oil filter. Its mostly the older models. I get mine out every 2 months to exercise it. But just for 30 miniuts. From what I learned you have to to keep it running tip top. And it's better to drain every drop of gas out of it for storage.
Appreciate this video! New to using a generator & have only needed to use twice. Both times I struggled to start it even though its new not realizing to SLOWLY change the choke to run. Big thankyou!
New models are much more forgiving. One pull. Immediately shut off choke fast or it will die. I don’t have a fuel cut off switch or lever. Mine is similar but dual fuel and 206 cc. My old one was just like yours and yes u r right it was more finicky on the choke
I prefer to close the fuel valve and let the engine finish using up the fuel in the line and carburetor bowl because it keeps it clean instead of allowing the fuel to get old and contaminate the fuel jets in the carburetor
One ounce of Seafoam liquid product p/gal often works into the system to 'ungum' the line and carb system. Sold at most hardware and convenience/gas station stores. Priced at 7.99- 11.99 per 16oz can. Also haven't had to change a sparkplug in ANY of my 2 or 4 cycles since I started using it as regular fuel additive for the last 8-9 years. That's JD rider/lawn tractor, snow blowers, push mower, leaf blower, chainsaw, emergency gas generator, hedge trimmer .. etc. They key is adding 1 oz to every gallon of gas as a regular thing.
