It's amazing how quickly you took off the intake manifold, no wasted effort at all. Thanks for sharing.

That is what I try to do, thank you. It would have taken a little longer if the previous person had put the support rod in. With it being gone, the removal was a breeze.

@@magical_mechanicalThe Demon Bolt! The first time I did this job, I had to cobble together a Triple-Square/XZN Socket with Extension setup. Needless to say, there was LOTS of profanity in the driveway that day. I highly recommend either the VAG VAS Tool or CTA Ball-Head Triple-Square/XZN M10 to remove that bolt. It makes the job so much easier.

If you look, I just made a short video showing what I use to remove it. I had an Audi Q3,show up for a water pump and it was still there.

I do agree that bolt is the worst without something special to get to it.

Great video - to the point and informative. If I may ask, what specific model is this vehicle? I have a '17 Tiguan and have considered pulling the manifold soon for carbon cleaning. Thanks!

This is a 2014 Tiguan.

@@magical_mechanical Cool... should be pretty much an identical process on mine then. Thanks again!

Absolutely, there may be some slight differences in vacuum hoses, and connections , but all the same otherwise.

@@magical_mechanical Fantastic! BTW, any content in the future related to the 2.0 TSI, the 2.5, and the Atlas 3.6 would be very helpful if you're looking for suggestions. We have one of each!

I would love to do some of those, I am limited to what actually comes into the shop. Sometimes it makes it hard to make new content.

where is the important step of the bracket for the manifold, it is the part that takes most of the effort...…

This car did not have one. Someone had left it off from before.
