This is crazy! I've been a Carpenter for 40 years- I have a shop thats fully equipped with any power tool needed. There's no way I would even try building this. I have Muchos respect for this guys talents!
I hv built two big sailing boats myself - single handed - and sailed them accross oceans. But my skill level is hardly a fraction of these men. Absolutely extraordinary. Every minute of this vid amazed me. All the freehand drilling ... ! Then - fitting the hull frames LAST ! All my knowledge & experience dictates that u must build the frames first, then add the hull skin OVER them. Here is a method that reverses that process. How in hell did they make the frame angles so precise? I am, and will always remain, utterly amazed ... This man has world class skills.

Such talent is passed down and improved upon from generation to generation. You don't reach this level of skill by taking a course. I must admit, I really wanted to see him take her for a nice cruise after he was done.

@@motube5 that is what I thought it is but I would like to confirm that. Also, is it always wet (thus always sealing the cracks?)?, will it not rot? (Tree bark rots quicker than wood), is there another sealer layer under the paint (they cut away the painting parts, both inside and outside)?, is the paint itself a type of sealer?
