wow!!! I have just found you and am SO glad I did!! I love this! The colors and the sentiment! So perfect and so true. I look forward to watching more of your videos.Thank you so much!
Thanks so much! I knew that I would not get a great impression if I stamped directly to the journal. It helps when you want a crisp image and you have already added texture to your pages.
Such a beautiful art journal layout. I am in love with your text script stamp. The tissue paper is also a beautiful image to have used. Never thought about using the gesso to add additional texture, definitely something I am going to do later. Breathtaking video. Can’t wait to watch your others x
Love the page. Love the tissue paper idea in the journal. Not familiar with artisan powder. But I suppose you could use watercolors or twinkling H2Os or perfect pearls. Great inspiration. Thanks
I am so glad.... I was so scared to do mixed media but once I got started and just let go of what I think it "should" look like or turn out like and just played around I fell in love. Thanks so much for stopping by!
This video prompted me to buy these pretty artisan powder colors, as well as a few more...lol :) Can't wait to try this video. When you're settled in and back to doing videos, could you do another one using some different colors of these powders? I'm finding very few videos on these powders, other than the typical marketing ones. I'm hoping I didn't spend money on a product line that ended up not being very successful. BTW, I'm having good success adding thread, so your short video really helped. Thanks again!
Hi Tiffany..Back to watch your video> Probably about the 5th time since I wrote last! Still love it. I am going to attempt a page similar, couldn't even come close to yours if I tried, but my goal is too familiarize myself with the mediums used. Most of them are new to me and I am anxious to see how they work. One thing, I fell in love with stamp, but almost gave up trying to find it but finally did and now it sits in my stamp section!! I have decided to take a good size piece of tissue paper and regardless of what I am stamping just add an imprint to the tissue paper each time I stamp. After awhile it should give me extra tissue to use as backgrounds. I know its not an original idea but it is to me. Will let you know how it turns out..Thanks again for your video..LS
Beautiful page. Your color choices perfect. Loved that you stamped on tissue paper. I am not familiar with the oil pastels?? can you dilute oil with water??? What am I missing??? Anyways, going off to check out your other videos. Thanks you for taking your time to make this video!!
Hello!! Thank you so much! The Prima water soluble oil pastels are amazing. I use them all the time. You can add them to water and create a spray... you can add them to white paint to create your own custom craft paint. You can use them just as oil pastels by using them directly to the page. So many possibilities! I hope this helps.
Thanks again for your response..Just ordered my oil pastels and the Artisan powders Took a little research as a lot of the sites were out of stock...BUT I got them............. Should be delivered soon!!! Can't wait to get started.
Absolutely stunning, love all of your work. Can you tell me if IOD is a stamp company or if it stands for something? Is IOD the manufacturer or do they have a different name? I live in the UK and am trying to track it down, thank you so much for your help,
Thanks so much! IOD stands for Iron Orchid designs. They design for Prima marketing. I updated the supply list link. You can take a look over on my blog if you want. Thanks agaib I hope this helps.
Artisan powder is sold by Prima marketing. It can be brushed on resin or paper just as is but I normally add water to it and it creates kind of a watercolor look. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Hello! I am so sorry I missed your question. It is just tissue paper you would stick in a birthday gift bag. Nothing special. I hope that helps. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much. For art journaling I really prefer a thicker paper. Prima Marketing makes a mixed media book and the paper is perfect in it. The thin paper in this art journal buckles too much because I add too much mediums lol! If I was doing a watercolor art journal page I would use watercolor paper. I hope this helps in some way!
