😂😂😂😂......... Ms. Susi, the crafty handywoman, you are! From a tradesman view looking at you.. you done an AWESOME job. Very informative once again with detailing each step. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Please don't leave Peno alone anywhere or alone in your van in the uk. He will be taken! I've seen people just simply walk up and take a dog and noone bats an eyelid :'( be carful. But that's being Said I hope you enjoy your trip x
Hey Susi Cruz! You are a real renaissance woman. I know how to work on cars too. My Dad was what they called an alley mechanic. He knew so much about cars and what he did not know he researched at the library; much like you do. He made sure we all knew how to do the same. Best wishes with the next leg of your journey; be safe, see lots of things, and have fun! I will be watching for sure!
You're really clever at putting things together and diy (doing it yourself) making it look simple. Well done. I wouldn't have known the first step of how to put that together and would've given up.
yuve done so many impossible and yur tenacity to doin the work and still enjoying yur van work.. without help from anyone.. but yur boyfriend is around ... hmm yure a courageous independent girl... amazing guts.... more successes to yur achievements travels etc journeying through life...... from Asia Tokyo
Just found your channel yesterday :) I'm currently traveling Australia in a sort of van life, with a 4x4 Pajero, so same same but different. You got me sucked into the Susi abyss! Mesmerizing
Good job 👍 I like to see people do work themselves . It is good to learn just in case something go wrong you can fix your self keep up videos nice to see back stay safe.. 😎Cali
Wow! Super good video! I’ve loved to see a woman doing that in the van. Usually in youtube boyfriends are the ones filming those parts... thank you for showing us how you did it 😊
Hi Susi! I’m not a vanlifer, just a 36 yr old mum. I don’t know how I found your channel, but I stick around because I love watching a young, beautiful woman just getting shit fucking done on her own! I’m a Canadian but I live in Scotland, so if you are ever my way, let me know if I can offer washing machine, showers etc Keep being you Susi 💜
Hey Susi Cruz!!! You did a GREAT job with this installation [as always]. I love how you tackle all your projects head on and get your hands dirty. I just might have to look into getting one of those heaters or a similar one. I guess you would have to have a diesel engine for this particular model. Keep Warm and SAFE and Thank you for sharing. 😀
2nd.......loads of loveeee....😍and as I say u look beautiful in long earings.....van is all set n looks amazing...thanx for keeping us updated always....yes loved the installation.....u r such a hard-working girl....love u n peno....stay safe.❤
Very well done. At first I think this is fake because how many people are so talented to do this themselves, then, I realize it's true and you did this. I will show my wife this video and tell her to fix more things herself. If Susi can do it, so can she. Thank you Susi
Of course it is fake....she is in a mechanic shop, on a ramp. This requires mechanical and electrical skills...not even handy guys wont be able to do this job. Nothing wrong with not knowing these things, but to pretend this is so easy, and all you have to do is hook up 2 wires it's just wrong.
Susi! You’re awesome! I admire your resilience and perseverance to do what you love to do! I loved your opening song! Jack Johnson is the bomb dot com!
I have a diesel night heater in my van🚎 best thing I ever installed. Currently having it moved to under driver seat (as wasted unused space there) One question, you installed under your bed - do you have enough air space there as you are not meant to cover the inlet - air suction compartments if you keep your bedding on top? Hope it works out for you, van looks ace as always x x happy travelling, Anna x x 🚎🏄♀️
Dayum girl!! You are amazing!! I don’t think I’d even have the confidence to even attempt something like that! And your nails...Hahahaha!!! I get that! I’m a metalsmith/studio jeweler and sometimes I miss having pretty nails but I love metal more, so......😁
Love your channel. Please make sure exhaust comes out at side of van, like engine exhaust pipe. In video it looked like it was under and I think the fumes could get inside.
Well done.. you can buy a hot water bottle as well for when you are in bed. It will last all night long and its very cosy... And it is not expensive... i dont sleep without it :) cant wait to see you travel. Gn
Hi Susie!! I am so proud of you girl you inspire me on so many different levels. Quick question where your boyfriend be traveling with you I hope so. I want you to be safe God bless
Love your positive attitude to tackle new projects ! Please wear safety glasses, you don't want to get a metal shaving in your eye. It only takes once to ruin your eyesight !
We need a heater like that only gas, not diesel. Here in the USA they are thousands of dollars. Here they are called Espar or Webasto brand. We got a new huge van to build and I have an old Chevy van we built with lots of cool things like a sink inside of a drawer. So the new van will be awesome but I’m not sure how much American dollars does that heater cost?
Thanks for the video - very helpful to better understand the instal process. Is it advisable from the manufacturer that you are recommending and for the specific heater to cut the fuel line and add the T-piece? I understand that Planar strongly advices to avoid high pressure but I don't know much about it and any responses would be helpful. @tigerexped @susicruz
Thanks for the helpful and nice-to-see installation guide. I agree with and like most of your advices but (although i am not a professional mechanic) i think its not a good idea to let your exhaust pipe end exactly in the middle of the bottom and not at the sill. Also not recommendable but absolutely dangerous!!! ist to connect your power cables with a so called "Lüsterklemme" that has no business in a car in general. This definitely applies also to your isolation tape. Please fix it!!!
I totally agree with Sebastian and as car mechanic and automotive engineer i know exactly what I'm talking about. The luster terminal or screw joints you show at 14:14 are prohibited in any type of installation with flexible wires. They are made for house installations with single strands and are nowadays rarely used for saftey reasons there too. The risk you are taking is a cable fire which means a real risk of setting the whole van on fire. If you make installation videos please inform yourself better next time. People will follow your advise doesn't matter if good or not and your are in my opinion responsible for their mistakes too!
could you do a vid on how to "meat people" while living in a van? You seem to be pretty good at it, because not everyone is excited to talk to strangers I guess!! it would def be a challenge for me if i lived in a van:) maybe more people would be interested to hear
Avoid the connectors using screws... They are very handy, I know, but there is a reason people use squeeze ones, cars vibrate, like a LOT. If you want to be very sure you can use the solder/shrink type ones that have solder in the middle and glue/shrink plastic as an tube around them, they keep your connection safe from moisture, the solder makes a perfect connection. (heat shrink solder sleeves) Connectors with screws have the disatvantage that the cable filaments can over time break in them, and then you have to hunt the electric gremlins, and that is very annoying, worst case scenario your car experiences rapid thermic destruction. To fit them squeeze connectors easy get a caliper designed for it, the solder sleeves need only heatgun or carefull applied lighter
