I was there in December 2017 and as a Catholic, the most surprising discovery for me that was never been written in news or magazines is that each mosque are required to have a Christian section. Imagine my surprise seeing a Christmas tree inside a heritage mosque!! I have to double take and asked one of the handlers to identify it just to be sure. But there is no mistaken it, a Xmas tree with fairy lights, ornaments & packages gift wrapped. After that realization of how tolerant Iranians are towards other religions, I didn't shy away when asked if I were a Muslim. It was one of the best trips I have taken in my life. Been to 58 countries to date, can't wait until we can all travel again.

Cut your crap dude. This Iranian design is been around for thousands of years. Take your dumb idea to the world museums and you can find it in Elemite, Achamanid , Parthian,Sasanid and today’s Buildings. If French closed the door to you , then you can check out the Iranian videos on RU-vid TODAY and see the Iranian professional Artist working in Syria in mosques and other places.
