Walter Ray Williams Jr and Deo Benard in the 2023 PBA/PBA50 Emerald Southwest doubles at Emerald Bowl in Houston TX. This is the step ladder baker games. Deo and I led the tournament and will be in the last match. 4 teams made the step ladder finals after the top 12 teams advanced from 8 games of qualifying. My ball of choice was the Violent Collision while Deo used the Hammer NU. The pattern was 42’ Steelsmith, 12-17-23. www.walterray.com, #BrunswickBowling, #CompassSportswear, #ViseGrips

Walter Ray the most titles won by anyone amazing. I remember in the 80's Walter couldn't win anything then when reactive resin came out he was unstoppable.

Wins in the 80's 1986 True Value Open, Peoria, Ill. 1986 Fair Lanes Open, Baltimore, Md. 1986 Hammer Open, Edmond, Okla. 1987 Miller Lite Classic, Miami, Fla. 1987 Hammer Open, Edmond, Okla. Now he often bowls with a plastic Smily ball. In fact, he shot a 300 a few weeks ago with it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c1-8SDoOhm0.htmlsi=xMRvPn5THNO5mgGq

Just now watching this replay. Congrats on the win. I guess if you are the Goat you can overcome any lane transition. That was quite a display of "controlling your rock" on the lane of choice for the finals. I watched the practice shots before the final and was sure after 3 shots hooked early in the fronts/mids you were going to switch lanes with Deo or try another orb. Deo looked like he was getting a little carrydown during his finals practice created from his earlier allowed practice shots while you waited for the finals. I thought Deo would start on the right lane to avoid bis own practice carrydown and you would start on the left lane to avoid the early hook created by Ryan & Sean-Lavery. I would have lost that bet. Awesome display of loft and projection/launch angle to get the ball to go through the pins. But, what else would you expect from Walter Ray Williams Jr .... very nice!

I absolutely love the relationship ryan and chris barnes have, the full up high fives the support for one another and the fact that Chris Barnes could bowl with just about whomever he wants and yet chooses his son. And yes i know how good ryan is.. love it.. great job to all bowlers.

Pete McCordic threw the first televised 300 that I ever saw. I remember being a young kid at the time and being on the edge of my seat the whole time. I remember he was visibly shaking in the 10th frame, as would just about anybody when a live crowd is watching you. He pushed through the nerves and finished it out though.

Great bowling. Back-to-back wins in this tournament! I hope Ryan doesn't kick himself too hard, he bowled great all week. This was a blast to watch, hopefully next year I can make a trip up to Houston to watch this live. Or possibly bowl in it if I can get my game just a pinch better. Congratulations 🎊.

Thank you, it is nice that you enjoy bowling. If I owned a bowling center, which I don't, I would set up a frequent practice deal for those who would like to bowl a lot.

Walter Ray still amazes ne hiw he keeps winning time and time again. He is still one of the most decorative bowlers ever. I would live to see Walter Ray vs belmo that would be an epic main event anywhere in the world.

I never have, and never will understand any bowler who wipes their ball off and takes that same side of the towel directly to their shoe and wipes it. I'm going NOWHERE NEAR my slide shoe with an oil soaked rag. I dont buy the argument that the towel "only absorbs". If I saw that from an opponent, and began slipping and losing my footing, I would definitely make an issue out of it.
@MrBuzzballs
@MrBuzzballs 5 месяцев назад
I see a lot of bowlers do it. But I’m not one
@walterraywilliamsjr3964
@walterraywilliamsjr3964 5 месяцев назад
I don't wipe my ball off very often. I think it is ironic that bowlers wipe their ball off and complain about the lack of oil. Shot to shot I don't see much of a difference wiping my ball off. But I will do it sometimes on lots of oil and when I bowl 2 handed so my left hand doesn't slip.
@teejay6063
@teejay6063 5 месяцев назад
@walterraywilliamsjr3964 I'll use it as a tool and take the oil off if I want lees length and leave it on if I want more. It doesn't make a massive difference, but maybe enough to get the shape just right.
