Im glad someone else said it because they did the same crap in step up 2. The best dancers dont get anywhere near the shine they deserve and that makes no sense considering its a dance movie.

Facts, only Step Up 5 could come close. 4 was the best of them, 5 pulled the strongest, most popular characters of the entire franchise. After Step Up, they had to find their footing. In 2 they had moose but wasn't sure to use him, but he shined in every scene. Step Up 3...well he pretty much made the movie with great supporting characters (this also started the trend of bringing back characters from other movies as they brought some of the MSA crew in. This was later done in Step Up: All in when The Mob & LMNTRIX combine) & pretty much made it the best installment of the franchise with the Battle of GWAI, the only flaw in the final battle was the duo scene. Step Up 4 they moved from Moose & tried to use tWitch from Step Up 3 (he was in the House of Pirates) to carry the franchise forward. But again they sidelined the dancing main character & went with a subtle hint of stage dancing which was left in movie 1. The MoB had EXCELLENT routines & a AWESOME finale routine but the ending of that routine was eh. Also unless you paid attention to tWitch or listened to the dialogue you would have no clue that their was a connective tissue between movie 3 & 4. Step Up 5 literally went "ALL IN". It was a great way to end the franchise & we got all the Moose we could get. We got repeats of his freestyles (the NYC street in 3, the casino room in 5, both effect Camelle), battle performances where his part sealed the deal & a final battle where you can honestly tell that Moose team was going to win. The flim makers didn't even hide it this time, the opposing team routine was trash & had no really memorable part to say "this might have been a point in their favor". The finale was just awesome. The only eh part in this finale battle from Moose team is the Andie & Sean stunt. Which is way better then the Sean & Emily (I had to look her up) dance from Step Up 4. Moose dancing in the sand was a clear throw back to the 2 previous water dance scenes in 2 & 3, withthe sand moving just a fluid as the water did. My ranking for the movies from bad to best is: 5. Step Up 4. Step Up 2: The Streets 3. Step Up: Revolution 2. Step Up: All In 1. Step Up 3D Step Up 4 (Revolution) only eaks past Step Up 2 by the better dance numbers by The Mob, but if you us Moose dancing parts then movie 2 could take it. That's just my opinion tho

Me too, especially because Moose had more of a main character roll and Alyson Stoner came back, which was a nice connect to first film. And of corse the great dance scenes.

@@ivag.5398 well, they’re not the same type of movies, step up 3 is definitely like the best movie to watch street dancing and such, but honey 3 has a very different plot than any other honey movie but also any other dance movie. I don’t remember if the dancing is particularly amazing but i remember the story, the format, the characters, the driving force, everything wasn’t like any other dance movie i had seen, so it has a high place in my heart. Also honey 2 and 4 suck majorly imo, so...
