Steph Young returns to the show to talk about her latest book, HUNTED IN THE WOODS;: Sometimes predators are humans or animal; and sometimes they are not....Something in the Woods is Taking People...Terrifying True Accounts. Like her previous books, this one has some seriously creepy stories of people disappearing, seeing things that should not be, and mysterious deaths.
In this part we talk about some weird deaths in the UK, accompanied by some UFO reports and weird entities, a really creepy Black Eyed Kids encounter, Some strange black eyed people paintings, a couple of boys with mysterious things happening to them, and a ghost girl...

Steph you have the coolest, weirdest stories I can remember hearing. And I thought I'd pretty much heard it all. Onya Seriah- she's a fascinating and articulate story teller.

I love how Seriah just let's her talk, shes full of amazing stories. I heard her on coast to coast once and Dave Schrader would NOT stop interrupting her to ask dumb questions and give stupid unrelated anecdotes. I understand you're the host and are supposed to ask questions and not be silent and talked over by your guest, but if she's providing good content you need to know when to shut up. It irritated me so much actually I stopped listening. Steph will just go from story to story flawlessly and Seriah knows exactly when and what to say to get all the interesting stuff out. Love it! Great job as always Seriah! Art Bell was also really good at this, which is why I miss him so much on coast or dark matter. A lot of hosts would interrupt callers if they talked too long but if Art liked what you were saying and was interested, he would let them go on and on almost like as a guest. He got MANY great bits and interviews from doing this, mels holes is a great example (whether you believe it or not).

Yeah, it's crazy that Dave Paulides is angry with her over her doing research that is similar but not the same. She is very thorough...He's even angry with Seriah for being her friend and having her on the show frequently.

Steph seems to have disappeared from the interview circuit, which is disappointing. She used to be on so many different podcasts. She's always wonderful to listen to. I heard she was focusing on writing - which is good, too, if that is in fact the case - but I would love to hear her doing interviews again.
@1Trupurpose

I like how she sticks to the facts and her findings, and she say's this is what she found and says she doesn't know for sure how truthful it may be. In some of the searching I've done, it's taken finding certified documents for evidence, as she said, sometimes you contact a certain entity and they won't release any documentation. Which sets off a flaming red flag for me to be more suspicious.

I love the rare interviewers who occasionally make me wonder if they have wandered off to make a cup of tea mid-interview. 😁 That tells me they set the ball rolling and sit back and let the guests do the talking. In my book that = a perfect interviewer, and why Seriah is one of my faves!

I used to travel to Pa. weekly to visit my daughter and always took Rt.84 in the wee hours of the nite there would always be dead deer on the roadside and on 2 occasions I saw a big hairy one scooping up a deer with one hand like it was a stuffed toy and walk across the gully at the roadside like it was a small bump it crossed that gully in one step and continued up the hillside and seemed to vanish in the short time I passed it. .The second one I saw another time and it was smaller but walked up that hill like it was flat ground and it had a buck and carried it like a rag doll and a snake in the other hand, the small one looked to be about 6 feet but the larger on was like double that and extremely wide and faster walkin uphill.The few people i told laughed at me so I just keep it to myself ,in all my trips on that road I saw only one bear I know the difference

I live in Cannock Chase, I can 100% verify that the entire black eyed children thing in this area is a complete hoax by locals trying to be funny and amusing themselves with their drones. However the entire area by the German Cemetery is very spooky, home to most of the spooky folklore and an area I don't run at anymore. So obviously being watched. Great podcast though keep up the good work.

this first story has all the same circumstances as the many disappearances in the U.S and Canada covered by David paulidis. the issue of the shoes not on the body or one missing and the strange feature that turns up in quite a lot of cases of the shoes or shoe found looks very clean or new even though its not new and very much worn when the child or person last put them on. The dogs not being able to pick up a scent. The bodies appearing days or weeks after disappearing then appearing near to or within a place that's been searched already. There being no cause of death found and it being just put down as "exposure" or "hypothermia" in most cases not being accepted by the parents and others involved. Some unusual activity involving the clothing, some missing, being taken off and being put back on the body I side out, an item lying nearby the body sometimes all shredded or ripped somewhat. occasionally their found in clothing that doesn't belong to them usually put on inside out. and in a few the army or in America the green berries are seen searching the area but not being involved with the original investigation. and in the few cases of young children who go missing and then found say that the man with no face or a man who was all fuzzy or blurry took them and some adults have described a similar looking figure like those described here. the "darting" around is described in one famous case, one of the only ones with witnesses to at least something to do with the disappeared child, talked about by Dave in his books.

+49Giants because she is making wild claims without any evidence. I think she is a plant to lead people away from critical thinking. people tend to want to believe in the fantastic, this stuff already being crazy enough, but she is pandering to the UFO reptilian satanic cult and so on and so forth crowd. It's not that these things can't exist, its just that we need to actually have evidence,. she has no info that I can find on the web, and seems to come very recent to misdirect people from vastly more credible investigators. we need to find out about these cases, which we are, we need to try and figure out what's going on, and it's okay to have a theory, but to make wild claims is utterly disgusting. I happen to believe that anything is possible by the way, and think that our world has been purposely moved away from its collective sense of things that are beyond, but I think we can get to the conclusion of super natural or high conspiracy without making fantastic claims, like the people I've heard suggesting that this could be mind control, which sounds very possible, but still, we need to follow evidence and use logic. it angers me because this just keeps people from using reason, and so any shill can come along and lead them astray
@omgutubeismylife
@omgutubeismylife 8 лет назад
+49Giants but honestly I have only listened to these radio shows and haven't read any of these books by any of the authors. Perhaps some stuff is too crazy for some to publish and they don't want to turn the general public away, where if you just put out what you find, it sounds totally unfounded. I'm a huge fan of David Paulides BTW

www.ghosttheory.com/2010/10/26/submitted-story-black-eyed-kids-terrorize-camper Go to the comments and start at the oldest. The author and supposed contactee (or experiencer) David Krabs admits about 30 posts in or so that it is a work of fiction after previously claiming it was real, what he wrote was ... 'Okay, folks, it's time to tell the truth. The story was a hoax and, to anyone with an ounce of skepticism, an obvious one. I wrote this story to make a point. I don't want to make fun of you, or to make you appear stupid. I want to show you the importance of skepticism. The internet is full of annonymous people who can make any outlandish claim they want. And some people, including many people here, eat this stuff up. What harm is there, you may ask. Look at the recent Arizona shootings. The murderer was a frequenter of a conspiracy website and ate up crazy theories like they're cookies. It is a dangerous thing. I'm not saying that all conspiracies are bogus, look at the MK-ULTA CIA LSD experiments for one example that turned out true. What I am saying is that you need to keep a healthy amount of skepticism before you accept something as true. So, I sent a lot of you a picture of a duck with a hole in it (which I did encounter while camping btw) did you stop to think maybe it was hunting season (it was). Just because you can't explain something doesn't mean you should jump to some unscientific conclusion. There are some things that we jsut have to say "I don't know" and somethings that we should say "I don't know, but I'm sure there is a logical explanation." We all need to practice that last saying a bit more. Best wishes, David Krabs '

+Athenry04 it's a fake. I am almost positive when I read the story firsthand. I have worked in the paranormal field for 20 plus years. I have heard thousands of stories and will continue to hear thousands more. This one had WAY too many fluffy hindsight details, an earmark for lying. Usually, the experiencer would not write such a professional sounding, detailed story. IDK..I could be wrong but I don't think so. Peace.

Jebson the child murderer gave details about his murder of the poor little girl that subsequently turned out to be true, only after the police exhumed the body and confirmed it. Its unlikely, someone would have briefed him on such details with him, Having watched the police interrogation of this disgusting piece of filth,(not for the faint hearted), I am convinced he killed the two children in Epping Forest. He was a monster, with a string of convictions, including a murder, against children already ...he didn't just suddenly confess either, it had to be carefully extracted from him by detectives. He may have been involved in a paedophile ring.....but, unfortunately, he took that secret to his grave in 2015. Just for accuracy, I don't believe specialist Cadaver Dogs existed in 1970 in the UK, as you mentioned them being involved in the search. Search dogs yes, Cadaver dogs no.!!!!

+omgutubeismylife - check the dates her books came out; she was writing about the things David Paulides has wrote about in his newest book BEFORE he wrote it - it ain't hard to check that - LOOK ON AMAZON! I would add, that given she wrote about the Drowning in Coincience cases BEFORE David Paulides, her research is sound!! - unless you mean he is shit at research too??? I would also question how legitimate David Paulide's work is, given that he comes out with the same work as her AFTER she wrote it ????? Is it Legitimate that he got his " legitimate Research" by taking it from other Researchers !?!?!

I like Steph's interviews and I have the book Hunted in the Woods, but the Modigliani story didn't sit right with me at all. I did a morning's research, firstly finding that the correct name of the researcher she named in the book as Danti Sartori is Dante Santori. He is said to have been in the Italian Special Forces (alarm bell there!) but in one of his interviews he says he is Portuguese, from Tomar. Armies only recruit nationals of their countries. The 'Irish man in the bar' story sounds completely implausible - in England, the saying "I heard it from a man in the pub" is a jokey euphemism for gullibility. So... this Irishman knows the local mob boss - what is this guy, IRA? If so, are these mobsters generally chatting about early 20th century art? As for the 'Lights of Berberiro', I can find no reference to such a UFO phenomenon in 1910 in Italy, either in English or Italian (I'm an Italian speaker) and Berberiro is neither a place name in Italy nor an Italian word. (BTW Steph, Tuscany is in central Italy, not northern Italy, just as Cannock Chase is in the Midlands, not in northern England as you erroneously said in another interview.) Just a quick internet search can come up with much debunking of Dante Santori and his supposed finding of the book of alien races (complete with illustrations of aliens taken from TV dramas). There are also allegations that he treats his followers in a cult-like manner and bullies those who turn their back on him. From what I have uncovered in a morning, I would say that the Modigliani diaries story is hokum.
@jackie0604oxon
@jackie0604oxon 7 лет назад
One other point - about Santori finding the one guy who can help him in Marseille - the city of Marseille is huge, the 2nd biggest in France after Paris. Talk about finding a needle in a haystack.
@monkeyfree8649

Jackie Craig I think you'll find that not all armies recruit people from solely their own nation. The UK armed forces recruit from many nations. My brother is ex Royal Navy and he was going to sign up to join the Australian Navy. I don't know where you get this idea that armed forces only recruit from a certain nation.
@jackie0604oxon
@jackie0604oxon 6 лет назад
Monkey Free, I remember that in the 70s and 80s (which I would imagine is when Santori was allegedly in the military), you could only enlist in the British armed forces if you were a British national, as I did look into officer training at that time. I guess there were some exceptions for Commonwealth nationals, but I remember that if you had one foreign-born parent, you could only enlist after a detailed and thorough background check. I am too busy with other things right now to research the situation in other countries at that time, but I would imagine that the situation in other European countries would have been the same. If you think about it, should you have people defending your country whose allegiance lies elsewhere? For all these reasons, that's where I "got this idea from". The situation is probably a whole lot different now in our multicultural society. If you do take the time to read through all the points that I raised about Santori, maybe you will agree (unless your own research proves otherwise) that his entire story is a crock of s**t.

+david oneill I'm not entirely sure that she is referring to Ian Huntley, but I've come across stuff before on the David Icke forums about Ian Huntley perhaps being a paid off stooge, its interesting just how much protection Maxine Carr is still being given by the authorities, when I think she had no involvement other than to give him a 'false' alibi. I've got an open mind, but don't have an opinion one way or the other about the Soham murders. You ever seen this site before? Agreed Trytamine, Steph's work reminds me more of Brad Steiger or David Weatherly in content, rather than Paulides. As someone who has read all of Steph's and David's books, I can say with confidence that most of the time Steph is WAY ahead of David. She never copies him, but ignorance prevails unfortunately. She also did not take over his page, it wasn't his page, and she didn't take it over. She was made admin after being told the name of the page was going to change. It wasn't anything she asked for, and he had been removed as admin quite a while before. He didn't start the page, but it did have the Missing 411 in the name, which is fairly associated with his work. The page changed their name AND Steph stepped down just for good measure after the controversy.

I really enjoy Steph's books but her radio/podcast interviews can be a bit frustrating. She knows her subject matter extremely well, but that also leads to her taking side road after side road until I've forgotten (and I suspect she has as well) what road we started on. This is not meant as a criticism of you, Seriah. Her knowledge and enthusiasm make it difficult to get a word in edgewise. Regardless, enjoyed the show.
