Plus, a sample of Block taking on Barbra Streisand's signature eleven-o'clock number.
Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block (Wicked) and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon) are taking the New York Pops to Broadway in a concert celebrating the some of the most famous work from the musical-theater canon. Music Director Steven Reineke will lead the orchestra in the On Broadway program on March 21 at Carnegie Hall, presenting tunes from such iconic American musicals as West Side Story, Carousel, Ragtime, The Book of Mormon, Wicked, and more. TheaterMania caught up with Reineke and the two Broadway alums in the rehearsal room where we got a sneak peek at some of the showstopping numbers on the bill, including a preview of Block performing her knock-out rendition of "Don't Rain on My Parade."
