Stephen A. GETS RILED UP over Nikola Jokic’s ejection! 🔥 | First Take 

Jokic got ejected for saying "Motherf----r, call the Fing foul" In the official NBA rules it states that refs cannot give players techs for just foul language. Jokic was ejected with no prior techs in this game. This ref did the same thing to Jimmy Butler and Terrence Mann earlier this season. They need to fire him.

No one talking about the no-call right before. Jok gets hacked constantly every game and barely gets calls. And as soon as he sticks up for himself, they do this. Shameful

First of all, Jokic was clearly fouled on the play and refs blatantly decide not to call it. Then, all Jokic does is just tell the ref to "effing call it" while running back in transition. He didn't run up to the ref and yell it at his face, or continued to follow him around to argue and harass him. This doesn't even warrant a single tech, the fact that it was an ejection can only be explained by personal or betting based motives.

Bruh the refs are wrong for this. Absolutely wrong.

If Jokic got the call AD and Embiid get he would be averaging 40+ points

They are talking about Jokić here, but I think the real question is whether refs can make as many mistakes as they want and remain untouchable?

The big thing is that Jokic leads the NBA in post-ups and has increased his aggression in scoring this season, yet he’s close to last in FTAs per game, at least among MVP candidates. If you watch the games, you can tell that it’s obviously not a mistake. NBA refs do this deliberately and deserve to be berated when they keep doing it.

The key point here is why do refs keep missing calls in games through out the league. The lack of calls when Jokic gets fouled compared to other stars is just an obvious example of how bad NBA officiating has become. The refs are making the game about them because they make gross errors in every game. The league can say they look at calls of every game but it seems to be getting worse not better. Either the refs are just very incompetent (miss calls, don't make consistent calls, over react, etc) or something much worse is happening with some refs and the ease of modern online gambling. Let us hope it's the former and the refs are just incompetent. And not the later and corrupt.

This is big EMBARRASSMENT BY NBA towards the best player in the league. He has the most points in the paint but he has less than 5 FT too many times, while Embiid gets FT for someone sneezing on him. Lebron and Luka complain about the refs call but they are not getting ejected. And the shouldnt. They are stars. They deserve to argue and to question your call. Refs are targeting Jokić like a g league player.

Players have said worse to refs and not gotten techs. He shouldn’t have gotten a tech but I could understand if someone made the argument for getting one. But an ejection is ridiculous.

Sometimes these shows talk about players not being passionate and then when you have a guy who legitimately shows passion, but still showed enough composure to not get in the refs face, and you complain again. Your actual debate should be about how long Mousa Dagher's ban should be since this is the third questionable ejection he's made this season. The correct answer is that he should be permanently banned from refereeing all NBA and G league games. Stop the pointless hot takes and do some actual analysis.

People may disagree but I don't think techs should be given for inappropriate words to refs. Just like players have to keep their composer when Fans talk to them a certain way its only fair refs have to keep their composer when players talk to them a certain way. Not saying they have to roll over, but instead of a tech it should be reduced to a common foul the other team shoots 2 free throws and retain the ball.

My dad told me this morning that the NBA has become too violent and used Green as an example. I argued it's become too soft, and I think this is a great example. Whether it's right or wrong, my opinion is it's soft, and if this is normal the league aint worth watching.

Put yourself in a referee's place. Night after night, they show up to referee a game and most of the players and the fans have no respect for them. If they call a foul on a player, he's upset with the call. If they fail to call a foul, another player is complaining that he was fouled and no foul was called. Then when a player steps over the line, say calls the ref a "motherfucker," and I have no idea what was the offensive language used in this case, then it's ejection, pure and simple. Oh, you can't eject a star! Why not? Was his language and conduct egregious? Oh, you can't call offensive offside on that history making play. The call was made as soon as the ball was hiked, not after the TD. Oh, you can call a foot fault on Serena on match point at the US Open, no way! Did she foot fault? If she did, it had to be called. One day ever so many years ago, I bought a ticket and went to an Avon Tennis match at the club where I was a member. The Avon was a developmental tour at that time. The tournament director came to me and told me that he might have to use me to call lines. I flatly refused. When he insisted, I informed him that I'd bought a ticket and would probably cause a ruckus the first time a young lady disputed one of my calls and made a disparaging remark. That was as close as I ever got to being a referee. One final thought. A few years ago, in a playoff game in the NFL, there was a brief delay getting the ball spotted a for the next play and Dak Prescott was not able to run the next play before the clock ran out. Later, when questioned by the press, Jerry Jones said that he wasn't going to blame the ref, that the team should not have put itself in that position. Great answer. Take responsibility.
