Maybe because his dad is arguable the greatest basketball player of all time? And where he went ultimately determined where his dad went? I thought this was common sense
It makes no sense to me. I’ve seen him critique college players in the past but somehow he’s never seen Bronny play? He is obviously lying and he does not want to admit that Bronny is not that good!
Adam Silver banned a racist owner for LIFE, handled that old bigoted fool so quickly most of you don’t even remember him doing it, but because Bronny James got drafted, he’s now the worst? Can we be serious for just two seconds?
It's nepotism. They're not telling you to not call it nepotism. They're telling you don't criticize it because it happens everywhere in the NBA: white, black, owners, players, front office, coaching staff, it happens everywhere
Lebron knew he could make history yet again so he pulled the trigger. Years from now when its all said and done the only thing that will be talked about is them being the first ever father son duo on the same team.
The media coverage of this is so delusional it's crazy. This kid averaged 4, 2, and 2 on 37% shooting. Can we PLEASE be honest about what this is? Somebody?
I mean it is nepotism but it’s no different than Thanasis but there’s also another reality that Bronny is 19 and his season wasn’t great but he was also playing after a cardiac arrest and sports is just as much mental as it is physical . Imagine playing wearing a black jacket and heart monitors how far you’re mental state is from basketball we honestly have no real clue what Bronny may turn into he’s still only 19
Three guys defending nepotism by saying there hasn't been "enough" nepotism in the black community is as BIZARRE a take as it gets. But that's what ESPN is rolling with.
@@mypodcast674 We are not "Hating" on Lebron or Bronny however you look at it. The 1st Father and Son Duo in NBA history. We just want to shed light on what other players think that did not get the "opportunity." Love to Lebron making History for the NBA.
Never thought of that but imagine being the starting pg and averaging 17 points and Bronny comes off the bench all year then signs for 8 millon with LA ( life changing money) when he doesn’t even need it.
I agree with you as a lakers fan I'm happy we got him but at the same time I'm not happy because everyone knew he was getting drafted by the lakers and he should of had 2 or 3 more seasons In college but when it's comes down to it we will just have to see what he can do in the nba
Exactly! Especially if Bronny took an opportunity away from a Black player who is less fortunate than him and lost an opportunity to make the league and take care of his family!
@@lennybeason1110 MUTHAFUKKA what how about Giannis brother dont forget Coby Karl was on the roster that his daddy was coaching JR Smith had his brother on the team in NY go get some rest lame azz dude
He never got a chance to play because he was recovering from heart surgery. Just say you hate LeBron's family. He definitely deserves to be drafted in the second round.
U just signed LeBron son I don't even have to guess where he signing to this year 😂😂😂 hes a Laker untill he retires and gonna give them 3 more chips 🏆🏆🏆
Probably the realest thing I’ve ever heard SA say! Addressing the real elephant in the room. Thank you for speaking all the way up for our people my brother! ✊🏾
LOLLL whose they bro no one cares ..you living in some delusional world where on every corner you think ur being victimized when in reality nobody is thinking about you
Life imitates art! 1) Lakers....The boys 2) Klutch Sports....Vought international 3) Lebron....Homelander 4) Bronny....Ryan 5) Anthony Davis....Noir 6) JJ Redick....The Deep
Agents do this ALL THE TIME. 2nd round picks have non guaranteed contracts so, oftentimes, Agents tell teams don't draft their client so they can control their destiny a bit and find fits that give their client the best chance to make a roster and succeed.
From the horrible Presidential candidates and debate to ESPN firing the best analysts to Bronny who avg 4pts and 3TO a game on a bad team being force fed to the fans. Sad times in America. Fake s**t and people everywhere.
It is not about LeBron James. It is about what the kid feels. When Bronny got drafted he had like no emotion and I feel bad for him because he knows deep down he didn't earn that draft pick. Think about how proud Zach Edey looked when he got drafted and with Bronny it was like the complete opposite. The people around him seemed happier than him and that is the real issue here.
Exactly. Now he has to pull a rabbit out of a hat, and perform. Something his _underperformer_ dad failed to do more times than not, even at 6'8," 250.
Rich Paul didn't need to call any team to tell them not to draft Bronny. Dude scored 4.8 pts per game on a mediocre college team. Nobody wanted him but LeBalco's team anyway🤣😆💀
Honestly, the real move should have been a team picking a few picks ahead of LA in the 2nd round calling up LA and telling them "Look, I want AD and your next three first round unprotected picks OR I'm gonna draft Bronny!" Now THAT is how you see how much Lebron is the GM lol.
I lol when I hear Stephen A talking about credentials outside of coaching for JJ Reddick but didn't afford the same courtesy to Steve Nash lol. The double standards are out of this world.
Rob pelinka is a vp. He don’t care about press conferences. His job isn’t to be entertaining it’s his job to draft players to put the lakers in a position to succeed
It's a shame that bronny got drafted because of his father. They were players that was in the final four that didn't even get drafted and could have been a good asset for the lakers
Stephen a said Bronny has been put in an unfair position LMAO here’s all the accomplishments his father has gotten him… - McDonald’s all American - usc scholarship - drafted when you don’t even start in college - drafted to a specific team of your choice - Mf’cka you are RICH 😂 tf if that’s a bad position to be in then idk what he think about the rest of us 😂😂😂
@@williamburney234yea rich paul also told teams not to take bronny cause he was going to Australia. I don’t see Bronny on a plane to Australia. Rich Paul is a notorious liar, and this is almost a disgrace to the NBA, how do you tolerate a liar to your consumer base?
Nepotism? Bronny’s stats at USC make it painfully clear that many calls were made and strings were pulled to get him drafted at 55. Like SAS said Bronny wouldn’t have gotten drafted if he wasn’t Lebron’s son
@@xerospadesWORSE than, not WORST than. Remedial level, EARLY elementary English. WORSE THAN is comparative. WORST is superlative. Nothing can be WORST THAN. WORST (nothing is worse) plus THAN (comparison… to what? You already said WORST). Educate yourself.
The media is full of bull crap. No other team was never going to draft Bronny. They just wanted to make up another storyline. We have to go through another season and listen about just the Lakers and Lebron.
Lakers are a joke. Drafted this dude son just to make him happy. Lakers are not trying to win. And why ESPN and Stephen A are not covering the stories about JJ Redick making racial slurs 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Mad facts. Not a fan of how this all went down with Bronny getting drafted this way, but Lebron put himself in this position from decades of being one of the best basketball players in the League, year after year. He earned this kind of power and leverage to pull strings like this.
Jordan had two sons that played basektball, he could've tried to manipulate the Draft the way LeBron and Rich Paul did, but he didn't because his sons were not talented enough, but ironically they were better and healthier than Bronny James.
LBJ and Rich Paul have manipulated this draft in the media so much that you would think Bronny was the first overall draft pick. Bronny (& LBJ) has gotten more media coverage during this draft than the top prospects pre and post draft. I feel bad for all the players that deserved to have the media spotlight shined on them during this draft process.
How is that a benefit to them though? I mean seriously, why would they want ALL the spotlight on bronny when all bron has said is he wants what’s best for him. In not one single way does this much media coverage help bronny in any way. Whatever rich and bron did the whole media was gonna be watching and bronny was gonna be the most anticipated pick in the draft.
