@@kgkg4118I think u mistaken Trent dilfer for Flacco lol. Flacco is mid during the regular season but turns into a god in the postseason. Eli manning is the same way
Think about it too, Rex had the epitome of mediocre quarterback play ( Mark Sanchez) and still made the playoffs consistently. If anyone on this panel will know the answer and direction it’s him. They ran down every team’s throat with an elite defense behind it. How Hackett doesn’t see it beats me.
@@jerodmayoINCexactly because 10 is something you can accidentally fall into with that defense especially. One takeaway on the opponents side of the field… that should be a gimme 3 and with garrett wilson and breece hall they are literally one big block away from a 60 yard touchdown. Theres ya 10.
rex ryan is actually talking his way into coaching the jets again fr fr 🤣 when i hear him talk about the team, i feel more faith and emotion than i do from saleh fr
@@jerryjohnson3801 doesn’t mean his players didn’t believe in him. I don’t remember hearing about the team not following him or talking down about him. I may be wrong but this is still an example of how he got people to believe in him.
I like selah...hes a good guy...but ill take rex back in a heartbeat over him...i truly can't recall a better coach, pete was good, but rex just had that fu my team is better than yours coach vibe, he talked the talk and we walked the walked...it was beautiful for 2 yrs, just beautiful. So yeah get you a qb that can give you flaco points...and then lean on your defense...blueprint is there...rex is correct...
Defense is not going to solve this situation for the Jets. They're good but that's too much pressure for them. They can cause fumbles and interceptions but if this offense aint moving, they're done.
Yeah, I get what Rex is saying, kinda like when he was there. The problem is, his Jets team had a MUCH better O line. They could run the ball, and give Sanchez time to throw the ball.
@MrZadir-nu7bd bro if the Jets had Sanchez they would be good. They don't even need some elite qb they just need a competent qb and Zach is far from it.
Blame Mel kiper and Todd McShay. Every year they take a random QB no one has heard about and prop him up. Will Levis was that QB this year, and Zach wilson was that qb of his draft class.
Zach Wilson is getting coaches fired , having players request trades, having players and coaches get into on the sidelines. There’s an “i” in Implosion
How is the defense the answer when the offense cant score! I dont care how good the defense is all those 3 and outs are going to tire them out to make any difference
This is Woody Johnson's decision. It's clear to me that it's the Jets owner that's invested in this kid, not Douglass, not Saleh. Woody is the one that's rejecting signing Wentz. Saleh is just covering for ownership.
It doesn't help that the o-line gets bulldozed a lot in games. Zach is hearing footsteps at this point so can't set and throw. Plus Zach is struggling to read a defense as well so that doesn't help. Remember Rodgers was in 4 plays. He was Sacked twice and chased out 1.
At some point Zach has to get the job done. The first couple losses can't really put the blame on him but this was a winnable game for the Jets and he played like a 3rd string QB. Me personally I would've benched him in the 2nd half.
What Rex doesn't want to admit is that the players on the team have no confidence with their QB, so why would they got out and risk injuring themselves for a Rah Rah coach who is incompetent and thinks his terrible QB is the right man for the job? This is called "Losing the Locker room".
Rex on Greenberg's show this morning stated his point better. He said the Jets don't have the cap room to go out an get a better QB so they have to work with what they have and try to get the best out of Wilson they can. He isn't high on Wilson, he is just saying that the defense has to work harder and that the offensive coaches need to find a way to use Wilson regardless of his limitations.
As a ravens fan they were the only team that truly worried me this offseason, if they made a bold offer to the ravens before the deal was done I think the ravens would have taken it too.
zach wilson is officially a bust. like people keep excusing him that ‘he’s not ready’ like you’re the 2nd overall pick bro, it’s about time you got ready
No, he's not. A bust means you were expecting him to be good. Anyone watching the tape of Zach in college would never expect him to be good. The Jets got exactly what they drafted. Not a bust.
That Jets defense looked pretty mediocre against Dallas when they played and against NE as well. If you're expecting to ride with that defense to bail you out this season, good luck with that. This isn't the 2000 Ravens defense, not even close.
No he’s not, trying to win a football game in spite of the most important position on the team being god awful, is detrimental to a team, it’s not a road to success
Tim Boyle being in the NFL is one if the craziest things ever.... dude threw 1 td and 13 ints in 3 seasons of college football. Of course they can't bench Wilson for that guy, they better go get Wentz or something.
I was genuinely confused on his reasoning. They tried using the defense to cover up for Zack Wilson's play last year and it failed miserably. Telling them to simply do it again is literal insanity.
This all started at the end of last season when they decide to let Mike White walk and make Zach the backup after he clearly showed he wasn't a NFL level QB. They put themselves in the impossible situation they currently are in. They keep running him out there because they don't want to admit he is a bust.
Its amazing to me how they pay the QBs the most money and when things go bad they blame the defense. And then when things are going good the QB gets the majority of the credit.
I'd say the Jets are the exception to that. They started out good last year but everybody knew Zach Wilson had nothing to do with it and when Breece Hall went down, the air just came out of the balloon and people just knew it was going to end badly. Any chance of that locker room having any respect for Wilson again evaporated after the Pats game where he put up 3 points and still felt like he did nothing wrong.
Rex Ryan talking like a coach trying to win games in the NFL. Not every team has a qb, gotta run and defend if ya don’t. They just trying to slander Zach Wilson
The Jets are just a bad organization can't develop QBs almost every QB that they had in the past 10yrs outside of Sanchez has been a bust but look at some of those QBs when they leave the Jetz Geno pro bowl ,Sam Darnald looks a lot better now .the culture is bad over there
I'm leaving for a new team specifically the Buccaneers. I've never seen a team or more specifically a head coach be filled with so much denial over a player. the Jets need to coddle and protect Zach Wilson is unbelievable. the statements yesterday of Zach gives us the best chance to win is unbelievable. I'm Done
Shannon had made the exact same facial expression, dropped the pen, leaned back and all when he asked about Brian Billick making the quarterback change and Rex saying yes he still thought they could win with Tony Banks that he made when Lavar Ball said Lonzo better than LeBron on Undisputed
Rex is basically saying that the defense has to play literally perfect in every game to possibly win the game. And to do that against QBs like Hurts, Herbert and Mahommes lmao what
