And I can see why. KD with a different mindset would probably be a top 10 ever. But, you have to remember, that for the same reasons you can't put KD over LeBron, you also cannot put LeBron over Jordan. Both joined established superstars to create a superteam in order to win. LeBron literally joined the #4 and #5 draft picks from HIS DRAFT CLASS! Its like having Jordan, Barkley, and Hakeem on the same team.

Joining the team that just beat you in your prime is gonna always be brought up. His own teammate did that to him and that’s why he left. If he does win another championship it will get more praise because he would be the one to help build it.

Not everyone is a leader. It's just reality and KD isn't. It can't be faked, either. He's one of the most gifted players of all time but it's not in his personality to be a leader. Honestly, its why he was so successful on the Warriors. He didn't have to lead. He just had to ball out. A perfect fit. Same is true with Kyrie and Harden. Phenomenal players, but not leaders.

I was gonna say kyrie more of a leader than KD. when it comes to basketball. I think KD is setting up to be a leader off the court. But those are mainly individual pursuits. When it comes to team pursuits he's passive. That was LeBrons problem before he won his 1st chip. But that game 6 in Boston in 12, a light flipped and while he sometimes doesn't show it in the playoffs, he showed it enough to get 4 rings and 10 finals. KD has only BEEN in 3 finals. And he had the greatest shooter of all time in his back pocket for those 2 rings. He's just not a leader off the court.

What people don’t talk about enough is how KDs lack of physicality has impeded his career. He’s only won WHEN ALL PRESSURE HAS BEEN OFF HIM. When he’s been the CLEAR ONE OPTION, he’s gotten clamped in high leverage moments because he can be moved off his spots once you pressure him.

Lebron put two superteams together and KD put two superteams together. KD does have less to show for it but he's also had less opportunities with his superteams. Besides 2017 and 2018 KD's superteams were hurt. 2019 Klay and him hurt. 2021 Kyrie and harden hurt. That's literally all the years he's been on a superteam. When they are healthy he's won. Lebron was on a superteam from 2011-2013 and 2015-2017. You can take out 2015 because of injuries and that still is one more than KD's total. Basically lebron had 5 years worth of superteams and KD had 2.

KD is an all time great, but those Finals MVPs man when you got Steph and prime Klay who both deserve/need to be double teamed and add KD to that you can't double any of them. He played amazing those 2 years but it was kind of on easy mode being in single coverage as one of the top 3 offensive players in the world.

Thank you SAS for acknowledging that KD 100% EARNED his rings. Steph and Klay still cant beat Lebron (with a healthy team) in a 7 game series without KD. In 2015 nobody believed the Warriors truly beat the Cavs and in 2016 they proved the doubters right. Steph and Klay were carried by their bench in 2 of the 3 wins they had in the 2016 finals. Steph and Klay just lost to a 38 year old version of Lebron. If KD can get 2 more chips along with FMVP, then he should be ranked equal to or better at that point.
