@@barrywhite5502 There we go. Sow more division. Exactly what this country needs. And I agree with you. He’s a Hollywood leftist living in New York. But division and comments like yours are what is tearing this great nation apart.
@@fungdart The left is the party of slavery. I will not and do not get along with leftists, i stay away from them. There's no getting along with marxists who want to destroy this nation period.
Great set up. The magic of the camera. The pre recorded use of the audience audio. Bruce and Stephen had a ball putting that together. Well done chaps ☺️
The funniest thing is reading all the comments from people who think they cleverly worked out this was fake. LOL Ummm... it was a comedy skit about stunt doubles, that used stunt doubles. Get it??
+John C. Salinas Ummm I really hope you are joking lol. It was supposed to be really obvious that they cut to the stunt doubles. Thats why they used doubles that didn't look that similar and showed their faces. Bruce's stunt man was even a bit fat. Nothing like Bruce. It was supposed to be funny. Listen again to Bruce's last line at the very end. I Just went back to find a time... Pause at 1:49 or 2:24 you can't possibly think that is Bruce?!?!
+MaKKowey Tapkin (Gamer) he may could have done a lot of it, but why take the chance on getting hurt? also, stunt men have a union and unless you are signed into it somehow, they do all the stunts by law.
Worked with Bruce et al at Cafe Central in NYC and always so thrilled with his successes throughout the years but this news is absolutely gut wrenching. Hoping for a complete recovery. Anything is possible.
better than anything the wwe has done in years. Edit: Came back to this after hearing the News. Hard to believe he's so lively here. Live life to your fullest you never know what your life's gonna look like in five years.
+ mike8pow, Yeah, I had a hard time believing Colbert was actually doing those stunts and they probably used a stunt double for him. But the show is live, so how they worked it out, who knows. I do believe Willis might have been doing his own stunts. In any case it was pretty surprising and funny.
He is a funny, charismatic and very versatile actor. He starred in very good movies. The ones I recommend: The Sixth Sense (epic ending), The Kid, 12 Monkeys, Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, Unbreakable, Tears of the Sun, Sin City, 16 Blocks, Red, Glass, Mercury Rising, The Last Boy Scout , Armageddom...etc Without a doubt, for those of us over 40, it brought us a lot of joy and entertainment. He is also one of the most loved actors by the public.
Yes. And he also starred in some very bad movies. Let me suggest you avoid these: Midnight in the Switchgrass, Survive the game, Fortress, Deadlock, American Siege, Out of Death, And last and hopefully least APEX. Shit.. I lied.. he was also in Cosmic Sin.. that was HORRIBLE. Anyway… what a legend!
Bruce is a soggy piece of man dough. Honestly. Men are so backwards. They think that a fit woman who is a black belt couldn't take down a regular man but some fat actor who has a keg where a 6-pack never was is going to beat up everyone.. because he was in a movie... holy fuck lmao delusion 100%.
Tone is largely about body fat, and is not a good predictor of strength. Many of the strongest men in the world look like they have kegs. Even prize fighters. They are concerned with strength, not magazine covers.
I think the stunt double portion was prerecorded and shown on a display while Colbert and Bruce went around the specific locations and filled in the dialogue? Or maybe the whole thing was prerecorded? I dunno. My brain is already lying on the floor blown to bits
@@tannerpaisley-ve6dqI thought they were better than nothing, I’ve seen most of them multiple times but I’m a super fan. He only has 2 movies I haven’t seen yet and one of them is Lay the Favorite which just really really doesn’t look good to me.
And the Peter and the chicken fight episodes always made me think of Homer Simpson vs former president episodes. I loved the Homer vs George Bush Sr episode. Just too damned funny all around. It would almost be worth another Clinton presidency to see Homer kick her ass after she left the White House..or even in it ! But the Peter vs chicken episodes were hilarious. A great cartoon !
Efraín Ram ... I CAN imagine that there may very well BE actual similaritie(S) whilst alongside various slapstick humorous techniques that are perhaps in some small ways could most likely seem familiar but THIS being said ... "Family Guy" is a cartoon (NOT to take anything away from "it's" OWN unique merit) which depends largely upon artistic talents such as those who can draw and create while also simultaneously utilizing voice-over actors talents as well as individuals with specialized ranges in their vocal chords in order to be able to convey necessary moods and tones and if need be comedic and/or emotional depths ... Whereas ... THIS ... was recorded in front of a LIVE studio audience and used REAL actors in EVERY way imaginable ... physically, visually, mentally, vocally, etc, etc, etc ... and also just like professional dancers/athletes/stuntman they had to rehearse and practice this over and over again and again and remember precisely what they were going to say and HOW they each were going to move separately and additionally additionally together as a unit of two working as one and also it is essential that their timing had to be in sync in order to prevent them from actually hurting one another ... Happy Holidays
TheTroubledPack mmm..r&m have a strong case and it's only 3 yrs old! But it's a dark humor different than south park or American dad or Cleveland show, robot chicken, all of which are great shows. #wubbalubbadubbdubb!
Imagine flicking through channels and all of a sudden, you tuned into this during the fight and sat there confused for a moment why Stephen and Bruce are throwing hands on TV..
@@jerrythomas8604 aww poor baby mad that rich people don't actually hurt themselves in real life. Mommy just tell you the toothfairy isn't real so you had to go fight your step-dad?
Bruce Willis you mean really? as for this i think Bruce Willis can be a dick from all the shit that hear, but he does have his moments when i think he can be a good guy. this is one of them when he did agree to do this for fun i mean if you think about it has there been any late night show where this would happen that wasn't SNL? i doubt it so i give them both props for doing something like that.
Oh My God, this should definitely become a thing whenever he has action stars on. This was fucking hilarious and surprisingly well choreographed hahah. Stephen has something here
Probably a large screen playing the prerecorded and edited video back. I'm sure they made an announcement the next part of the show will be from previously recorded video, enjoy! Something like that.
this fight routine is an example of the way they used to do it..nowadays they will have the camera within a yard of the actors?stuntmen and rapidly switch the camera angle with every blow ..very often the modern style leaves me dizzy and it always leaves me disappointed..i much prefer the camera shooting from a distance so we can take in the whole scene... modern cinema is mostly shit anyway.
I find the "Blair Witch" school to be the most irritating. It makes it impossible to keep track of anything at all and leaves me with a headache. Somebody smack the bastard who thought that was a good idea upside his head. I find it peculiar how the movie industry is making people think that a decreasing quality of work is a good thing. They did the same with rap music. I also notice that the people who fall for such "low quality as improvement" ploys are always the younger ones who lack the experience to see through it.
well yea it was cut and edited. unless it was different cameras starting and stopping at different time and angles so it can technically be called "live" either way great job
I started off thinking that Bruce's ego was starting to inflate. Then the bout started and they threw in the stunt doubles. Great plot! Very entertaining!
@@tasnimrahman7261 yeah me too but after seeing the comment i watched it again lol . one thing unclear was this was live i suppose but you can hear the audience screaming
@@VicenzoV Check out 1:45 when the Colbert double first hits the Willis double (clearly not Willis). And then Willis gets up from the drum set and hits the Colbert double with a guitar. And then all those punches were both doubles until Colbert appears with a bagel in his mouth. Back to the doubles until Willis spits out fake teeth. And then the whole staircase and balcony is doubles until Willis says "Yippee-Ki-Yay..." Clearly the Willis double jumping off the balcony.
I was on Hollywood Blvd. Watching stars approach an award show...probably Oscar's. The only star that came over to us was Bruce. He shook our hands and thanked us. It was a thrill for the whole crowd. He's kind

Georgie Thumbs, that's actually a sign of respect and considered more manly. Also Freemasons shake hands by the wrist and depending on the finger position tells the degree they are.
I didn't know that. I use to drive a taxi in New York city for about 10 years and stopped doing it around 5 years ago and I picked up Bruce and his girlfriend or wife? The one new one, I picked them up at Columbus circle and when he got in he talked with this Russian accent, I guess cause he didn't want to get recognized and then his girlfriend got in and I took off and right away he said in that John McClain voice "Hey take it easy pal, my girlfriend is pregnant" and BINGO I knew right away who it was and said "Hey BRUCE" and reached through the partition to shake his hand and he grabbed my wrist then he blasted the air conditioner so I couldn't hear him. It was like instant cut off. I drove everybody on that job, driving a cab in New York city is the worst job in all of humanity, the pay is absolute shit like you cannot believe especially around July where you can take home 20 bucks for 12 hours work, no shit, but the celebrities I met is insane. You know Tom Clancy the writer? I drove him and I thought he was a bum as he was carrying all these bags like a bag man on Madison avenue. David Blaine, Mike Tyson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Paul McCartney, Michael Stipe, Drew Barrymore, Sting, I drove EVERYBODY, Manhattan is nuts when it comes to celebrities, they are all over the place. Oh yes, David Bowie, that's another one. I use to pick him up all the time, he took cabs like crazy from Lexington ave.
Georgie Thumbs that's interesting. iv only met one celebrity my entire life. it was Kim Novak about 14 years ago in eagle point Oregon. I went to church with my aunt and Kim and a male companion came in a little late and the only place to sit was by me. she shared her hymnal with me when it was time to sing. she had beautiful eyes and looked really good for her age. a friend of mine lived in NYC and she said she saw celebrities all the time doing totally normal things like having lunch. she met Liv Tyler at a spacehog concert and said she wore a ton of makeup and Adam Sandler and Janine garafalo.
Maybe or maybe not. It depends on what reasons you give for thinking Colbert would not know how to fight. My karate instructor was 5ft 5 and 115 lbs. and I was about 40 lbs. more, yet he hit me just right one night by accident and my whole arm went numb for 15 minutes. It's not size but knowledge.
Ridgely Sussman it’s really not man. When you punch someone usually there isn’t any sound effects or anything ;), and anyways if it was real they’d be bleeding a bit already. Or a lot.
It ranks right up there on the top of all the late-night sketches. Nothing like seeing some good old fashion action stuff instead of just always seeing talking stuff.
Laura! Love your comment... I'm not sure where you live... I'm from Australia and we have a politician (extremely conservative right wing one too eh) Hes name's Zed... Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead (well hopefully at our next election eh)
I love when he comes out and says he doesn't do his own stunts. then he does that little one through the table! genius! I love both of these guys! shame that Brucie is having cognitive troubles today. I'm gonna miss his down to earth, wisecracking persona!
@@JJgg72557 I think he was making reference to the sanitized versions of the dialogue they make for use on airplanes and so on? For instance there’s the scene in The Big Lebowski where John Goodman’s character is smashing a car with a baseball bat, screaming “you see what happens when you f*** a stranger in the a**?’” In the airplane version he screams “you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?”. Hilarious, but weird… Kind of like yippee ki yay, William Faulkner.
@@10thdim Thank you from Lima, Peru, here I am a big fan of Faulkner, rare with some others, and Bruce got me cold on that hahhaha. But still, why William ?
