+Luís Paredes Much like everyone else, I LOVE Novak. However, in the US Open Final, I was rooting for ol' "grandpa". Now all we need is for Nadal to get his act together. Then the Novac, Roger, Andy, Rafa team will be a thing again!
+Steve Holmgren Well it was started by Americans but completed by far more evolved beings of different countries that's why it has improved a lot over the years.. you're welcome.
Novak is one hella of a player. People need to stop hating the guy and embrace his greatness because it doesn't last forever and once their done playing, people regret hating him and like him when it's too late.
+Javier Avila I agree, but sometimes he looks arrogant even when he isnt trying to be funny or get on a character and I think this is what is misunderstood of him. Its kinda like Nadal's face with one eyebrow up also comes out as hell as arrogant or worse. sometimes even looks mad and pissed
+Decky Nis Here's why: initially he pissed off Andy Roddick, then US Open fans, then tennis fans when he used to retire from matches. Then, he chose international sponsors that were unknown to Americans. OTOH, Federer has been on his best behavior and is sponsored by Nike, Rolex, etc. These are known brands in America.
I am Federer fan and am still unable to understand why the crowd acted like that in the final. As for Nole his achievements speak volumes. He is now the first player ever with 16,000 ATP points and his slam count now looks like this (just see the quality of opponents): 2011 Wimbledon Rafael Nadal 2011 US Open Rafael Nadal 2012 Aus Open Rafael Nadal 2014 Wimbledon Roger Federer 2015 Wimbledon Roger Federer 2015 US Open Roger Federer 2011 Australian Open Andy Murray 2013 Australian Open Andy Murray 2015 Australian Open Andy Murray 2008 Australian Open Jo-Wilfried Tsonga
+Amrit Swain Wow! 3 each from the top 3 players apart from himself! But I really never expected Roger to lose 3 straight GS finals against Novak. Very impressive, Mr Djokovic!
+MrKpopSucks No doubt Fed is playing great tennis now, but to be honest, he is past his prime form. He has won only one slam in the last 23 slam events (nearly six years). Roger is still going to the finals because of rankings. 1 and 2 can never meet before a final. The young ones (Kyrgios, Dimitrov) aren't interested in tennis. They are busy building their playboy status. And Murray is a hit or miss any day. Though i wish to see Fed lifting just one more. #BEL18VE
+Amrit Swain A very fair comment of you.And taking into account the rivals he has won Grand slams against speaks volume for Novak's greatness. As a Novak fan I still think that the crowd was rather cheering for Federer to win 18th GS than it was a hatred against Novak. Any opponent would very likely face that not only Novak.
Amrit Swain I agree with you regarding the young ones and Murray. I fear for the future of male tennis when Novak and Roger retire. It's ridiculous that only Roger, who's 34 years old, can compete with Novak at the highest level. Sure, Roger has proven that age is just a number, but still... It's scary that no one else can compete with Novak. Like you said Murray is a hit and a miss. Nadal, as much as I hate to say it, he's pretty much done, unless he does a 2013 again. Wawrinka, can only produce flashes of brilliance once in a while. And for the young guns, look at Dimitrov, so overhyped as the Baby Fed when in fact he actually hasn't achieved anything significant. I still have hope for Nishikori though...
+Mirko Sasic I agree that Fed gets home advantage everywhere in the world. Let me tell you i am a HUGE Fed fan but shouting and booing when a player (Djokovic) serves is uncivilized in my opinion.
That was sooo short, but fun while it lasted. Djokovic is just a great guy on and off the court. I'm always happy when he gets the applause and respect he deserves.
I am from Croatia ( Serbias neighbour) and I really respect this guy. He is really a great guy , great sportsman and a really nice person. We Croats and Serbs have our difficulties but when someone is good than someone is good and it needs to be recognized. Nole you have my respect :)
The way New York crowd shitted on Novak in the final was a disgrace. What has he done that is so bad? Every interview i have watched of him he seems like a nice guy.
@@coolyoutuber6237 you probably hate Nikola Tesla too?? Hi's a Serb too just like Novak? What did you say? Sperm? You would still need a match and a petroleum lamp if it wasn't these guys..Tesla and Djokovic
So nice to see Novak off the court! He is much more his older funny self! He kinda had to stop doing the jokes/mimicry for people to take him seriously...but I miss that side of him!!
Novak has really grown on me I like him more and more every year. I always appreciate guys who can be so tough on a court but loose and fun/funny off. Get the job done, work hard, but know how to laugh :)
Novak still holds on to his grassroots ... the slapstick jokes, the endearing laugh, the smile, the consideration for others around him, the fans, the audience. Great success story - started off in a country that is not known for being out there, but for the desire of its people to work hard and put it on the world map. Ivanavic did the same too. Hard work paid off. Perhaps, this agitates certain audiences (?). On ya Nole!!!
+Andy Tang you mean hit a relatively big target using the racquet and the ball they practice with each day for the past 25 years of their lives? yes, that is impressive :v
Fora Tri Yes, to obtain and maintain any skill to a level of expertise, especially in physical accuracy, is quite a feat. It's the reason trick shot videos are so addictive.
+Fora Tri Dearest Fora...please crawl back under the small rock you manage to slither from...that way you can warp your way trough life and be mad in your video game world. Thank you.
What a bizarre statement. 500,000 civilians??? Total nonsense. What on earth are you ranting about??? Serbs have always been allies of the US in both World Wars. The US marine Corp even today honours each year the rescue of American airmen in WWII by Serb Chetnik guerrillas. Harry Truman gave their leader Mihailovich the Legion of Honour Medal!!! Please, be real pal. These are great people!
I think people have their own biases and perceive and express according to those biases, having said its a fact that a lot more people love Novak than who don't... Anyways bottom line stays as Novak Djokovic to be one of the greatest of all time!! 👍👍🔥🔥
Looking back at this, his voice was GONE lmao one of the three times he won the US Open. I would really love for him to win it at least one more time, maybe in 2023... ♥♥♥♥
I am a time traveler from five years in the future. He is #1, won AO, defaulted from the USO because he hit a line judge, and made the final of RG but lost to Rafa. Also, we have a thing called COVID that took out 2020's Wimbledon.
the US Open needs to get its act together. They need to warn people in the audience that if they try to disrupt the server on the toss then they will be automatically ejected.
The Djoker is a genius! First shot looked like it was smack on the star. I somehow can't see King Roger fooling around like this. Nole you're the King!!!
Ah! Why didn't they show it as a single shot from the camera from behind Djokovic and instead the cut the parts into two: one where he serves and one where the ball hits the shield.
The best men's tennis player in history...........................................................................................without a career slam... yet...
this would be priceless if Stephen losses the shield after the first ball and Novak send another one to the defenseless Stephen and that's when Chris Evan comes from no where and save him with another Captain America shield
