From what I've observed from personal and other people's experiences: people who lived though rough situations tend to be the most humorous ones. When going through a rough situation, you have to learn to cope with the reality, and humour seems to be the best coping mechanism because of how affordable it is (being able to express your thoughts is the only thing required). It's also the healthiest one, after the therapist.

Who'd studied in GUADALAJARA MEXICO that within minutes was able to diagnose my fathers disease. It had been too long so there was no cure but Dr. Valdivia was able to control it. Unfortunately, the medications took their toll in fathers organs and finally they gave up 20yrs. Later. However, 20 yrs. Sounds so good when he was only given days. My father was always cracking jokes and hoping for the best. His dream was a vacation farm with a house big enough for his 9 grand kids. 2 years ago he passed away the house was 75 complete the farm was 100% complete. One more year and he would have seen his grandkids having a blast and planting veggies friuts and trees wid him the following summer....
