A lot of King fans don't like Revival but I think it's a great book, I've read it several times over the years and still get the same scare every time. That's what's so great about King's stories, even if you know what's going to happen you're too busy taking in each page to think about how it ends.

I still remember the first time I saw Pet Sematary, and the effect it had on our poor land lady who watched it with us. She talked about Gage for months. I'm a grown man now. I have a friend in Atlanta who was so horrified by that movie he still can't watch it to this day. I'm a huge horror fan and that's the best one I've seen. Pet Sematary...

lijit77 If the film scared you, then the book would scare you twice as much. The film was not at all scary to me, but I had to put the book down at one point when I was alone home (husband away) and it was night of course. This was towards the end when Gage comes back into the house-- I couldn't go on--I was that scared.

I just had a horrible accident. Broken humerus near shoulder, lots of pain, long and painful months ahead of me. I may or may not gain full mobility of my right arm (I am right handed). This gives me hope.

I remember when he said that he might retire, back in 2003. I was 19 and had just discovered his books and thought it was a sad coincidence. Very thankful to see his titles hit the shelves every year.

Every man on Earth should base their needs on a wife, to Tabitha King. Stephen is always saying how important she is to his life. Lucky for me, I've got a girl who supports all the things I do. Glad I have that in common with Stephen King.

No kidding! Between this and her fishing the manuscript for Carrie out of the trash can, there’s no question she’s been incredibly important to him.

I don't know why, but I always had an image of Stephen King in his home town happily walking down a road with a rolled up magazine in his back pocket and making his way to a local store (probably a bookstore). When I heard he got hit by a van as he was walking down a road in his hometown, it kind of made me angry. It shattered my image because after that, I pictured him walking down the road with that damned van bearing down on him. Glad he survived and continues to provide us fans with great tales.

I know this will sound weird to some people and to some they will sadly know where I'm coming from. Stephen King saved my sanity as a teenager. When i read his books i could leave my horrible home life for a few chapters at a time. If I'm honest more than a few chapters at a time. But i digress. When people talk about his drug/alcohol abuse. He's human. Mr. King is the one who told us He had a problem. He's overcome His addictions and is a better man for it. Also from what i see and hear His kids are well adjusted human beings. Be like Stephen King!

My wife is teaching a film and literature class in High School. What movie did they pick to watch? Carrie. Still, after all these years King still has the same target audience. After Carrie the wanted watch It, then the Shaw Shank Redemption. King can talk about his other works, the one that will last for later generations will be what King himself thinks less of.

Yes, the human body is robust. As far as writing, now that I take medicine for schizophrenia, I can sit still. I have lost my ability to write poetry though. Also, Stephen King doesn't scare me. Give me spy novel, and they put me in the funny farm again.
