330,000 little boys in France were raped by 3,000 catholic pedophile priests, and it barely made the news, because people EXPECT that from catholics. That's what makes you proud, getting away with that.
You have Patricia Heaton who is still sold out to the truth, go up against a man who has sold his sole to the devil. Colbert is as Catholic as Biden, Trudeau, Pelosi, “Catholics” for Choice, and the heretical Jesuit Fr. James Martin. Colbert is not proud of the truth!
I'm also India Catholic . My Grandma has passed away due to Covd 19 . She is a pure Catholic she goes to church every day, even in lockdown she watched the mass in television . She thought me every prayers for my childhood . Proud to be Catholic
Deepa E I'm not Catholic either, but St. Patrick is supposed to have got rid of all the snakes in Ireland. And if Patrick became Patricia, he got rid of his 'snake'. :)
C'mon guys, I'm agnostic (used to be Catholic) and I found this to be very entertaining. Nothing wrong with people having a little fun with their beliefs, why the negativity? Live and let live.
Well, I find it a bit hard to trust the people that used to slaughter heretics, apostates - locking up "fallen women" and shipping their children off to servitude; and still have issues with child abuse, women's rights and domestic violence.
+The Pinkerton a con? And who gains from this "con"? It certainly didn't profit the men who wrote the New testament considering they were mostly killed by the Romans and persecuted.
Ever read Luke 13:24 in accordance to Romans 8:17 in accordance to 1 Corinthians 13:3 [Where LOVE is defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.] Then take another STEP toward Heaven gained by EARTH. Luke 9:23-26. ' Then he said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit himself? Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. ' [Luke 9:23-26] To NOT seek HIM is YOUR insanity, not me. i will but to disown HIM, TRUTH! TO not loose in me SPOKE, at least. Hell is my gain the same. But a FLAME higher than THEM only wanting it their DESIRES wrong, NOT only of HIM!
I’m Protestant, but in my city we have a lot of Catholic Churches and schools. People of all religions (or no religion) look forward to Friday Fish Fries and summer weekend festivals in Catholic Church parking lots
+Anthony Churko hi, as a cultural muslim and atheist, I second that...but would you have time explaining it through? really hard to google/wikipedia stuffs w/o subtitles..
Anthony Churko the points they mentioned in the video. being non-native user of english, to me they sound like one geek trying to out geek another. (i roughly get half of the Saint Joseph statue buried upside down part. but why?) cheers..
Oh. They're quizzing each other on Catholic beliefs. For example, Catholics believe that Mary (the mother of Jesus) has appeared in visions to groups of people several times throughout history - most famously at Mount Carmel, Israel in the 13th century; Guadalupe, Mexico in 1531; Lourdes, France in 1858; Fatima, Portugal in 1917; and Medjugroje, Bosnia in 1981. St. Joseph (the father of Jesus) is the patron saint of family homes (since he provided Jesus' childhood home), and in the US it's a tradition for Catholics to bury a statue of St. Joseph in your yard in order to sell your home. That's not an official Catholic belief, and I don't know why it must be upside down. A monstrance is a vessel used to carry the bread which is believed to be the body of Jesus (since in the Gospel of John, Jesus said "This is My Body.") And a scapular (which means "shoulders") is a garment that Catholics wear from their shoulders as a devotion to Jesus - the belief is that Mary introduced it at Mount Carmel, saying "whosoever wears this scapular shall never endure the fires of Hell." Does that answer your question?
How is this different from those Tolkien quizzes that Stephen likes to do? I see what attracts him to religion now, all those characters, stories and quotes.
+NezihBouali yep, catholicism is exactly like this, filled with crazy entertaining stories, but we usually only hear about the rapist teachers of them so...
Well, strictly, the Catholic Church is absolutely silent on whether Mary did or did not experience a bodily death. It is dogma that she was assumed into heaven but it has not made a pronouncement on whether she died first or was assumed alive. FYI.
@@nsphilip I support rooting them out 100%. Same with leaders in any institution I am a part of. If my government officials are accused of rape I think they should be rooted out and tried as well. Doesn’t make me want to stop being an American. Just sad that members of a group I’m in did horrible things.
Nothing brightens my day more than watching Catholics talk about themselves! But seriously, I can see now that the Catholic Church wants to be loved. They have all the money and power in the world but all they want is love.
Lol! The Marian apparitions I can remember are:- Knock in Ireland,Lourdes in France,Fatima in Portugal,Guadaloupe in Latin America,De Salette in France,Walsingham in England-yes,Our Lady appeared in what my son's mates call "Protestantland"!!,lol- and Akita in Japan.Who can tell us the others! I don't think Medjugore is official!?
I do remember an episode of “the Middle” in which the family goes to Mass. I remember it being vague, but as a Catholic myself, I remained curious. Seeing this now, maybe Patricia had some influence over that. Are the Hecks Catholic??
Crusade Prayer (75) I assign My Pain to You dear Jesus Jesus I assign my pain and suffering to that which You suffered during Your Agony on Calvary. For every insult I endure, I offer it to You. For every abuse and verbal onslaught I suffer, I offer it in honour of Your Crowning of Thorns. For every unfair criticism of me, I offer it in honour of Your humiliation in front of Pilate. For every physical torment I endure at the hands of others, I offer it in honour of Your Scourging at the Pillar. For every insult I endure, I offer it up in honour of the terrible physical torture You endured during the Crowning of Thorns when they tore out Your Eye. For every time I imitate You, impart Your Teachings and when I am sneered at in Your Name, let me help You on the road to Calvary. Help me to be rid of pride and never to be afraid to admit that I love You dear Jesus. Then when all seems hopeless in my life dear Jesus help me to be brave by remembering how You willingly allowed Yourself to be Crucified in such a vile and cruel way. Help me to stand up and be counted as a true Christian, a true soldier in Your army, humble and contrite in my heart, in remembrance of the Sacrifice You made for me. Hold my hand dear Jesus and show me how my own suffering can inspire others to join Your army with like-minded souls who love You. Help me to accept suffering and to offer it up to You as a gift to save souls in the final battle against the tyranny of the evil one. Amen.
Being a Mexican Catholic, loved my religion being talked in an american tv show! I know the nation is mostly Christian, while Mexico is majority Catholic!!
Me too, best show ever on TV. all about typical family interactions, each with strengths and weakness', and recognize their all guilty of mistakes and support each other as family.
We are saved by grace through faith and not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of Works so no one can boast Ephesians 2:8-9 I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father in heaven but by me Jesus Christ. John 14:6 We must be willing to turn from sin to receive Jesus forgiveness , and to know and live out his teachings. KJV, NKJV 🙂 2 judgment seats , for the lost is the great white throne. Revelation 20:11-15. For the saved, the judgment seat of Christ, For rewards. 2 Corinthian’s 5:9-15
Medjugoria was an incorrect answer: Those alleged apparitions haven't been approved. Also, the upside down statue burial is condemned by the US church as superstition. Otherwise fun stuff.
Don't tell the people in Medjugoria that. And even though it has not been officially approved, the faith is incredible. I know a lady from my church who goes annually to Medugoria, sometimes twice a year.
talking about religion and talking about tolkien is the same!! two great stories, two great ficticious stories, they should get peter j to do a trilogy about this to, it could be good
St. Patricia of Constantinople, virgin and martyr, lived in the 7th C, co-patroness of Naples, Italy. Feast day August 25 Who’s more Catholic now, hmm?
The 'four seasons' are on Earth, Not in Heaven. HOME is the only Resort that you desire. Not one on Earth. The final seasoned is those not paddling to Heaven now, most only. The conclusion, them to dive in to the pool that fires them up MOST hating. EVER growing.
Devotionals like the Scapular, the Rosary, First Saturday, First Friday, etc. Are only in the context of the 4 Gospels, the Epistles, the Book of Revelation, and Teaching of His Church. None violates. And you are not in mortal sin. You have to be actually striving for Heaven and have Christ as your only Savior. Think in the context of Luke 13:24. Even Mother can NOT help you, if not striving. "Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough." [Luke 13:24] Now Whom determines if you are the 'many' or the opposite, called the 'few', on Earth? Related to Luke 13:24. Christ is the only True Judge of any heart on Earth, and He reigns in Heaven. Being better than another on Earth, He can only determine. And being better than another NEVER EVER means you are good ENOUGH! Might want to pick the phone up and call Home and ask Him. The phone is your heart and Home is Heaven. 'Someone asked him, “Lord, will only a few people be saved?” He answered them...' [Luke 13:23]
the theological definition of a mortal sin requires full knowledge and control, so as someone interested in brain science, the answer is probably, but the brain is weird. you can technically diminish someones free will to the point where they are all but incapable of mortal sin, but that is complicated from both a scientific, and theological perspective. if you are referring to sex scandals involving priests, I would like to remind you that prior to Christianity, it was considered weird if you didn't like banging 12 year old boys. The Romans were kind of sick. Yes, priests have done horrible things, and yes, as an organization, the Catholic Church has dropped the ball big time in holding its priests to account. Same goes for most other groups of people, though the Catholic Church is actually trying to do better at dealing with these monsters.
Box Top here is a taste of what sexuality was like in ancient times. to be clear, my belief is anyone to rape a child should be forced to cut off their own balls, cook them, and then eat them, but historically, it is an interesting concept. www.discovery-zone.com/controversial-sexual-habits-ancient-times-egypt-rome-greece/
INCORRECT. MOTHER did die a mortal death. She had to. She was the New Eve. She had to die without sinning to correct the error of the first Eve. Who fell from grace. Mother is Full of Grace, never fell. Her Body was Assumed to Heaven, because Her Body would never corrupt. And Heaven declares that She is sacred ground, gained HIM. He made Her special, Heart and Soul, for Him most to gain Earth. Virgin and Version, Human. The Son of God was called to Earth by Her sweet voice. Faith, Hope, and Love. Purest Light, Human could hold. He took possession of Her Dwelling Place, first. Enthroned Himself. Then the Holy Spirit conceived the Son of Man, by the Frame that She owned. So that She is really His Mother. Hearts One, the same, Human.
