Ok. This dude is the most talented and original singer-songwriter at present. Period. He is a poet and a breath of fresh air in today's monochromatic and blasé music scene. Everything he is composing is terrific.

All I can say is I’ve seen just about everyone I’ve wanted to see in concert in my life and this kid who turned 21 the Night we saw him & band @ The FOX Oakland was dripping with talent and style as well. He and his amazing voice and band members put on one hell of a performance. And I never saw his ego get in the way. Not even once. Very cool. 🎸

When I first heard this song it reminded me of the first time I took my then girlfriend back home to Florida to meet my family for the first time. She always talked about how she couldn’t float in water and it scared her. So when we did go in the deep end of the pool she’d always hold on to me for dear life. when i first heard this song i immediately thought about this person i really liked who was either oblivious or didn’t care, he seemed to only want me for my body but there were things he said that made me hold on to hope that he really did like me, he talked abt us meeting up and walking around a college campus together but he never put in any effort. experiencing that while hearing this just really got me and made me cry. it’s been around a year now since i was in that situation and thankfully i’ve moved on. the song reminds me of it but it’s so beautiful that i don’t even mind im now practicing this in my vocal lessons. :)
