Stephen Wilson Jr., a singer/songwriter from rural Southern Indiana, blends indie rock, grunge, and country to create his unique "Death Cab For Country" sound. Raised by a single father who was a boxer, Wilson pursued a degree in Microbiology before forming the indie rock band AutoVaughn. After touring as their lead guitarist, he focused on songwriting and signed with BMG Nashville. His songs have been recorded by artists like Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, and Old Dominion. Wilson self-released notable songs such as "the devil," "Year To Be Young 1994," "The Beginning," "Holler From The Holler" (which won six independent film festival awards), and "billy," gaining a devoted following. In 2023, he signed with Big Loud Records and released his debut EP, "bon aqua," featuring previous releases and the single "American Gothic" with Hailey Whitters. Wilson has toured with acts like Brothers Osborne and Midland, and has upcoming performances at various festivals and venues.
