I'm so glad Marbury is getting some love! He was so fun to watch. He had that Brooklyn NY playground game that was really entertaining. It always seems to be close games like this that the Knicks end up losing. 4:26 and 8:16 perfectly explain Marbury’s tenure as a Knick. Outside of 2004, he never had a good team. That combined with being a scorer made him the scapegoat for a lot of the 2000s Knicks struggles. Isiah Thomas and Scott Layden ruined the 2000s Knicks by trading away draft picks that ended up being Lamarcus Aldridge and others and it all fell on Marbury’s shoulders. Imagine prime Starbury with Aldridge.
