So dope ! I gotta lot to learn.. do you ever do dolly zoom shots manually with the camera or is it safer to just do it in post by adjusting scale ?

Hey! Thanks for the comment. I usually do not do them manually for a few reasons. While I think in camera dolly zooms are INCREDIBLE and do not compare to a digital one, I can't really do it properly on my own. I am using a stabilization rig and most of the time the camera is low to the ground and away from my hands. lol. I haven't gone as far to put a zoom ring on it but I may try it out in the future. It may be easier if I have a hands free type backpack arm to hold the gimbal so I can focus on angles and have one hand free for the zooms. Good question!

@@NeekFilms I got you. I got a Ronin RS2 with the focus motor that I can control with the zoom wheel with my index finger, but I actually ordered a Tilta Float system (poor mans ARRI Trinity) with the vest spring arm and staff, im so amped about that, but in the meantime I might practice and see if I can do the actual dolly zoom... but since Im a beginner I am going to play it safe and keep it digital when I shoot. Also I think it might be pulled off with a second crew guy pulling zoom with a wireless monitor but that seems way extra to me right now lol Anyway you rock keep up the good work and content for us!

In the main shots you took it looks like you were walking back and forth while you shot, was that another way to add movement to the shots before the keyframing? Did you use a gimbal to stabilize?
