@@thedisabledwelshman9266 yes I know the interior and close up of the exterior would've been studio but obviously the rest of it was filmed in a real area of London.

It was actually a house in Shepherd Bush, West London, I used to live around the corner, the wooden gates are still there to this day.

Color was available at that time, not to call you stupid or anything

There was an interview at the beginning of one I've watched and they wanted to keep the ambience - I think colour made it look less grotty!

It was cheaper for one thing . colour cost alot more money

This episode was from February 1963, over four years before the first colour broadcast in the UK in July of 1967.
