Music has a profound effect on our moods and our memories. We can all remember our first live concert, or the mixed tape made for that summer road trip. We sing along to music while cooking or cleaning and we dance to a beat or tap our toes to the rhythm of music we like. At the heart of all of this is a Stereo system.
You will need a source (CD player, Turntable, Streamer, Phone or Computer) a pair of speakers and a suitable stereo amp to drive those speakers properly.

I have always like the sound and look of Yamaha audio. They make a nice range from budget to high end and maintain quality throughout he range. In mid range audio they seem the best 'bang for the buck. This year replaced my RS300 (Receiver) and RV550 (Surround) with a RX397 and RXV4A - Canadian models. Mid-range audio here the manufacturers tend to lean towards receivers rather than amplifiers. And the Yamaha still retained their awesome look. NAD are excellent but a bit over my budget for the same specifications. Thanks for doing a review of mid line audio. I enjoy your reviews of the high end stuff, however it is nice to hear about audio/video products in the price range most of us are budgeted to. P.S. Getting a tad cool up here. So it means we are shipping the warm summer weather to you.🙂🙂

Yes, they sound great for the money. But bulky compared to the NAD

Here ide buy the Yamaha amp. Nothing wrong with Nad but the retro look and all of the extra connectivity would push me over the line. I own both NAD and Yamaha gear. The 568 cd player is great and I have several Yamaha amps AS 1000 etc. CD 2000S. I also like what Rotel are doing at this price point.

Hi there, I am planning to buy an amp, are you able to tell the sound quality difference betweeen Nad and yahamah integrated amp, thank you.

I guess amps and speakers work together (more than you might think). But that said, the Yamaha is articulate (and with the wrong speakers, it might sound bright). The NAD is a little more dynamic, with better bottom end control and perhaps a little "warmer" sounding.
