I'm 63, and I never heard this until about a month ago. Now when I turn it on I have to listen to it at least twice. Sometimes I accompany it on guitar. I LOVE that style of Groove. I could listen to that type stuff all day, and never get out of my hammock..except maybe to pee. lol
I honestly believe we peaked in the 80’s, levelled off in the late 90’s and started to slide in the 00’s and nose dived from then on. So grateful that I was born in the mid 70’s. I’ve hardly bought music for the last 20 years
😖 I did the same- and ended up with the whole horrible album by Survivor- just to get "the Eye of the Tiger" thanks to the Rocky movie (I was only 10, and didn't yet know what a 'single' was) 😂
Can you believe that this song is 32 f***ing years ago (as of 2024, that is)?!?! I remember when I was introduced to this jam for the very first time -- as the soundtrack for the trailer for the Bill Murray dark comedy, Groundhog Day (in the week or two leading up to its release in theaters)!
Totally awesome !!! This cool jam can never be played loud enough !!! I was 25 when it was released and I still jam to it today at 56 !!! Thanks for posting !!!
Saw them at a stadium festival which had some big names, buy were the most popular. I didn't know a stadium could physically move that much. The only time the fans pumped the stadium like that.
Good music has no age...i do not care if it's Stereo MC''s...Sade...The Eagles or Tchaikovsky....good music always feeds the soul...it's the nourishment todays society desperately needs !!!
Man, I was 18 when this came out, these dudes are awsome!!!! Brings back so many good memories!!!!!!!!!! They are a great awesome group, this song is timeless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure this song is included in the history archives for all humanity to rediscover some day thousands of years from now. If you are reading this please come back in time and save us all.
I heard this song once when I was a kid in the 90s. No google then. I was in Sam's club one day and it was playing on the PA. Pulled out my phone and a 30 year old mystery was solved. Listened to it a thousand times since.
I remember this song, it was so good right after the song more and more by captain Hollywood project! So many good memories I was 21 and going to bars and clubs this song coincidentally was playing when we walked in..😊
This is one of those songs that I remember hearing often as kid. Never knew the artist or name of the song, but I always liked it. I came across it again as an adult and man the nostalgia is just overwhelming....its so quintessentially 90s. I wish I could go back in time, but as an adult. It had to be awesome compared to this current hellscape we are living in 😅
I remember first hearing this song almost a decade after it was released and thinking how contemporary it sounded then, definitely a song that was ahead of its time.
Something ain't right I'm gonna get myself, I'm gonna get myself I'm gonna get myself connected I ain't gonna go blind for the light which is reflected I see thru you, I see thru you I see thru you, I see thru you Your dirty tricks, you make me sick (oh yeah) I see thru you, I see thru you I'm gonna do it again, I'm gonna do it again Ah, I'm gonna do it again (I'm gonna do it again) (I'm gonna do it again) Gotta do right(I'm gonna do it again) Cause something ain't right (I'm gonna do it again) Gotta do right, come on (oh yeah) If you make sure you're connected The writing's on the wall But if your mind's neglected, stumble you might fall Stumble you might fall, stumble you might fall Ain't gonna go blind (oh yeah) I see thru you, I see thru you I see thru you, I see thru you (oh yeah) I'm gonna get myself, I'm gonna get myself I'm gonna get myself connected I ain't gonna go blind for the light that is reflected Hear me out Can ya hear me out, can ya hear me out Do it again, do it again Do it again, do it again I wanna do it again I wanna do it again I wanna do it again You terrified (I wanna do it again) Ain't gonna go blind, ain't gonna go blind I wanna do it again Here we go If you make sure you're connected The writing's on the wall But if your mind's neglected Stumble you might fall, stumble you might fall Hear me out, stumble you might fall Interstate 5, stayin' alive Won't someone try, open up your eyes You must be blind if you can't see The gaping hole called reality (oh yeah) Wanna do it again I gonna, gonna do it again I wanna do it again, come on I'm gonna do it again Hear me out, terrified Something ain't right Here we go If you make sure you're connected The writing's on the wall But if your mind's neglected Stumble you might fall Stumble you might fall Stumble you might fall
I love the message of this song. Make sure you’re connected with yourself. See through it all. Plus the music accompanied with this track is absolute 90’s gold.
This song is amongst my favorite due to it's rhythm. The lyrics are deep with spiritual connotation. It serves as a wake up call for those who has ears to hear it's divine meaning or message through a secular platform.
