Stereo patching with Mimeophon: Skew, Ping Pong, and Swap | Make Noise 

Mimeophon totally changed my approach to composition with eurorack. I love setting Repeats at infinite, Mix at max, engaging swap, and using super slow lfos to simultaneously modulate zone and color...it's like listening in on my Mimeophon's dreams

i've been making extensive use of my mimeophon for years now and this is the first time i've heard about swap (though i've probably used it unintentionally before). thanks for this video!

Nice tutorial, as always. I knew about most of the functions, but not the swap function, or that it can take individual L or R mono channels/sources and repeat them across both outputs to create more complex stereo signals. Until now I have summed up what's going into the Mimeophon to use it as stereo when it's not essential to do so.

Thank you. Forgot about the other modes - I tend to RTFM on day 2 with a new module, and then forget half the features over time, like a lofi memory delay.

Talk about a vibe-y sound... Love it. So many great landing pads to park the UFO with the Spectraphon and the Mimeophon just makes everything sound "like a record" as we used to say. Nice one!

Awwwww, Mimeophon is such a legion of nice repeated behaviors, the real sampler in the system imo - all it does is surveil and give us the option of ordering up snippets of its buffers of intel it has collected. And it sounds gorgeous. But the skew and ping pong are big areas of opportunity for me. I love this module and how it can shape a mix while being a voice, but despite its ease of use I sometimes forget about practicing all of its tricks. It’s a densely packed juke box of delay styles and verbilicious-ness, for sure, but so much experimentation has yet to be done and this video gets me super pumped up to fire up the system and make some noise on it. Thank for continuing to inspire❤

I use mimeophon (or any delay I had before acquiring one) primarily to build rhythm sequences that sound richer and more complex than a simple 8 step sequencer would be able to do. I tried using the skew for different delays for "kick" and "snare" (not really for stereo then : D ) but with random results. This video is definitely going to help me understand better how to achieve more satisfying results.

I like the idea of setting the repeats to infinite and halo all the way up for an insane reverb.

my favourite way to use mimeophon is the shorter range of zone 1 with repeats at 2 o clock. there it can instantly "psychedelize" snappy sounds. activating ping pong then acts like an octave switch and stereoizer.
