Great tips. I fade more to the rear speakers to get a lil more bass. Those Kenwood head units are great sounding for the price. I have the KDC X597 it's not flashy but pumps out some great sound and has lots of audio settings. That's why I choose it.
Quick tip.. play with the Panning left - right . always a little more to the right becouse the left speakers are closer to you . by panning to the right you equalize the sound to your ears.. like your wearing headphones :-)
I agree a lot on the bass and treb maxing, i drive a 2004 chevy impala i bought from my brother and when i first got in and played music it sounded horrible, i checked the settings and the trebble was minimum and bass was maxxed and the front passenger door speaker was blown, i now have setting tuned and 4 mtx terminators running 1200 watts each and the car sounds a lot better even with the stock door and rear speakers. The sound system in a impala LS or SS trim from factory is amazing in the lower trim levels its good too but not as good but with subs and aftermarket tweeters i can rattle the car to peices or sing brittany spears without it sounding like im underwater
And I actually did do pretty much everything your suggesting, even got some good quality sound deadening paneling behind my JBls in front,it's more figuring out what setting is best for my subwoofer in back and amp
I adjusted my dad's cars stereo in his car and then when he got in it the next time he he said wow by stereo sounds really good for some reason and then he found out that the settings were changed and he got angry but he did like the way it sound before he changed it back to where he thought them should be
And using cheap pioneer speakers (30$ a pair) will make it 100 times better. Mainly because most cars will not come with good speakers whatsoever. And aftermarket ones work wonders with modern tech in them.
basically, if you drive a newer car, let' say, car after 2012 or 2015 (just an example), you don't need to adjust anything, the speakers should be decent, but if you are driving an older car, for example, a car around 2000 with factory speaker, you won't get the sound you want by adjusting the setting anyway...you don't have many choices on the old cars even though you can change the frequency, just because the speakers are old and outdated, when they were manufactured, they were not designed to listen to the current music... just like the 80s and 90s rock and metal music compress the vocal hard during mixing for radio playing, but they don't need to do it for steaming platforms nowadays... so my opinion basically is like, 1080p screen cannot show you how good the 4k is even though you have the 4k file...
All car stereos have in-built equalisers that aren't user-accessible and increase the bass and treble to make them sound more appealing to the mass (deaf) audience, who think all music is born in a subwoofer box 🤣 Turn up the bass and treble even more yourself and there you have it: plasticky, distorted sound. Finally a sensible video explaining this.
My bass is on 6 and my treble is on 8. Pair this with music from an sd card, usb stick, cd or dvd (with music video) and it sounds perfect. I have a 1 din AEG dvd player and the factory audi concert 2 bose sound system.
Hello, i have installed an aftermarket pioneer stereo (deh- s320bt) in my car which says "output power: 50 (*4) watts" . Until how many watts RMS speakers can i buy? Cause i dont know if this "50" is watt RMS. For example if i place 80 Watt RMS speakers in my car, will the stereo be burnt? I have found some speakers (Jbl stage2 604c) which are 45 watt RMS and 270 watt max power . Will they fit my car?
Pretty much all, if not all new head units come with a preamp like that. It's 50 W RMS (÷4 not X4 like you think, its kind of misleading so i understand that). So 12.5 W per speaker, most aftermarket speakers will run 50W RMS (Peak RMS doesn't matter too much, unless you are connecting an amp to the speakers, not talking subs). Also you need to pay attention to the Ohms (4 usually, but you can get 2 and in some cases 1). The speakers need to match what your preamp puts out in your aftermarket head unit. If the head unit says 4 ohms, get speakers that run at 4 ohms. Hope that helps you.
Vocals are suppressed in my car speakers all of the sudden, quite distorted. After seeing your video, checked and found both bass and treblewere set at max. Resetting didn't work...still distorted. You think the speakers are damaged? Can we still try something? Thanks in advance. Love.
Check to make sure the “mid” setting isn’t maxed out. If that doesn’t help then the speakers may be damaged since bass and treble were maxed out. Thanks for watching!
Fun fact, A lot of newer cars or very "luxurious" cars actually have weaker factory speakers in the back and the more bassy speakers up front. Rear speakers are only to fill space that would otherwise be dead. Like surround, so It doesn't have as wide of a range. Yes they may put bigger speakers in the back(on the deck), but typically there is indefinitely less sound coming from the back because there are simply more speakers up front. Like tweeters or midrange speakers or both, as well as the door speakers.
Unless you're in a jeep, like yours but new. Then you have midrange and woofer speakers in the back(on the bar), and midrange in the top corners of the dash and woofers at your knees.
Changing a head unit is usually one of the best ways to upgrade your stereo any Factory stuff is really junk unless it's a name brand install by the factory like Bose or whatever
My $40 Walmart deck has it. I have a $300 pioneer touchscreen double din with every kind of adjustment I could think of. A graphic equalizer you can customize yourself and then all the bass and treble and this, that, and the other.
Hi what's the best settings for car speaker because i recently add a 4 ch with 4 speakers. Took it to a audio shop but the thing is my rear speakers are louder than front. Is there a way to balance front/rear to get the best sound in my car
Translation across the media drives me crazy. Artists spend hours in the studio tweaking their music to perfection. Yet people want to distort it by changing pitches. I ride with my girlfriend, Bose stereo, 90s-to today hits, possibly the worst mixture available.
Hey friend, please tell me how I can shift the bass sound in my rear speaker because my front side company speakers are not making clear bass sound.plzzz tell me.
If speaker level refers to the loudness then I wouldn’t go past 4 or 5. The higher you have it the more strain on your speakers it will put. Test it out and see what sounds best to you! Thanks for watching!
Max bass max treble will definitely strain your speakers. Try turning it down and see how it sounds. I'll bet you'd be able to turn the volume up higher before it becomes distorted. Those old speakers don't handle bass well.
Yes! You can buy different seats. Just look up the car you want to buy the seats for and then type seats. For me I would just look up “2005 Jeep Wrangler seats”
I have a 5 channel amp, on my hi and low pass what is the best number ? They are both set around 100 ? Is 85 better? Then on eq pro leave both on through?
100 is probably a good number to have it at. I have mine set to through because it’s what works best on my setup but some people say that specific settings are better
😞Im back and really need your help. My nephews were supposed to be listening to Music ONLY and got me sounding bad..they changed everything😠😠 Its something wrong with the Hz + and the SLA .. Im rattling like a rattlesnake, sounds shitty. Please help!!
@@xanaxholic02 The car battery would be a constant power source, so maybe there is something in the wiring that's making it reset. Unfortunately there's no way to save the settings. I wish I could help!
I met a guy he's damn near 50 he has sounds in his car. He got upset at me because I laughed at him I told him he needs to have someone to redo his speakers it sounded like garbage. All I heard was like a trembling shaking noise It sounded horrible more like a static box
I usually do mine like a smiley face with the base relatively high and then low in the mid as well as low (used to be high until the problem I'm having) treble. For some reason I'm getting some hissy highs and snappy snares uncomfortably so. Any ideas to n the fix?
@@seancanoy I actually think it's because the head unit amp is driving the speakrs without a real dedicated amplifier. It's rated at 22 RMS, wheras the speakers handle 60 RMS (continuous). Do you think the head unit is underpowering the speakers to the point of clipping. If so why the hell would they make most head units like this with so little of power for most speakers.
@@seancanoy Another thing I'm not sure about the HPF (no sub so no need for LPF right?) it was set to "Through" on both the rear and front for the frequency i turned them both up to 80 hz... And turned the gain on each HPF down as well as the Tweeter option. The tweeter option isn't a true HPF but just to help attunuate it I guess? This still hasn't solved my problem and I think the 80 hz is what most recommend.
Damn...If I think it sounds better...it does.If I enjoy the way it sounds when I adjust it...why do I need somebody to instruct me how to adjust MY sound the way they think it sounds better.Get real.
@@seancanoy Actually...it was you who made the video saying.."you think it sounds good...(but it sounds better my way)I designed speakers before you could walk. Was at Stillwater Design back before they were Kicker building prototypes in a metal shed dude.Grow the fuck up.
Factory speakers are crap. And most times the head units are too. In my case it was a process of add better speakers all round, sounded better without bass, add new double DIN head unit, sounded better, with a bit of bass.. then add two underseat sub woofers up front.. GREAT! Now adding two more slim 8 inch powered subs behind rear seats (Nissan ute, very little room) and it will be punching the bass at very little cost. Basically I've learned that original equipment is useless if you enjoy good sound and proper bass..
There is no simpler way to make your speakers sound better. I feel like this video walks you through some things you can do without knowing much about car audio
