I love it that even at like Joe's bratwurst festival or whatever this is, Reignwolf still plays every single song like he's Hendrix at Monterrey making rock history. Everyone says, "make a studio album." Why? This man is IN. HIS. ELEMENT....at these live shows and jam sessions. Why dillute that with a bunch of overdubbed layers of tracks? THIS is rock n' roll in it's purist form. Enjoy it like it's meant to be.
I can't describe the sensation that this dude is, he has solely restored my faith in that blues rock sound, can't wait for him to start touring in the UK I'd sell a damn kidney for tickets,
Saw them in Houston and Austin last week. Holy crap, it was insane. SJ and Joe were playing right next to me in the front row and Jordan got on his bass drum in front of them, fell off, my friend and I caught him, he jumped back up on stage, and I was left holding his guitar. I handed it back to him and he kissed me on the head. I mean, WHAT JUST HAPPENED. They are freaking insane live and I felt like I'd gone to another planet where rock forever lives.
Just saw them open for The Who, went just because of Jordan, broke his stick playing "Electric Love" finished playing the drums with his bare hands, I caught him when he was coming of stage " gave me his Pick he used to play. Fucking awesome show and The Who killed it too.
YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first version I've heard of this song that can hold a candle next to his performance on the TV show Roadies. #BringRoadiesBack
dude playes different version of his songs all the time. this is completely different than the roadies version and totally different than the studio version. He's always switching shit up which is pretty cool. this song is all over the place too. the structure is totally weird. I can't hear SJ in the mix and I'm curious how he sounds compared to Stitcx.
I was at this performance and it is terrific to relive the experience. All these years later and it still raises the hair on the back of my neck. I remember that toy Tamborine being passed around, too. I've only seen Reignwolf twice since then. I need to remedy that!
For real dude. I dont understand whys he hasn't yet. He should of when he had a lot of buzz. I mean he still kinda does after doing that song with Macklemore. But im dying for a Reginwolf album!!
Why isnt there like a full set from these guys sinewhere? Ive been obsessing over this all week and last week. And the cravings are getting stronger now
the song is so much better live than on the recorded version. so much more character. Jordan's a performer, that's his thing. He needs to be seen by people to be appreciated. I think that's why he hasn't taken off in a huge way. it'd amazing that he's developed the following that he has with th3 little stuff he's put out. but you have to take into consideration that when you play a club like the viper room in LA for an extended period of time like he did, you'll get noticed in some way. I hope he eventually does release a full length album produced by someone who appreciates that he has to convert the energy of thr live show onto th3 record as much as possible. I wish him the best of luck. and if he just keeps on fucking around and playing some shows here and there and releasing a little taste now and then, then that's cool. he'll be the only artist that I know that would do something like that long term
SerenityNow I'm just wondering why Third Man Records haven't already reached out to these guys. I mean has Jack White not heard of them or something because I'm positive he'd love them on his label.
Already a legend! Even without an album. I can't wait for him to release an album, and come to Europe! (btw it seems like he changed the bassist since the last time we've seen him live)
Bro just took a break from fkn his guitar on stage to jump into the audience wtf lol... bro can't believe it has taken me so long to discover this guy's music
my gawd this kid has got the goods ! almost thought he was possessed by hendrix at one point in the show. Raw blues at it's finest ...this guy with bands like Greta van fleet, Black Pistol Fire are gonna save rock & roll
Just put out an album already damn it. I saw Reignwolf WAY back in 2013 and knew he was going places. And since then, he hasn't even put out a full-fledged EP. He's released like 2-3 singles since then. That's it. Sorry, but you're not freaking Tool. You don't get to take 5 years to put out an album without people losing interest or forgetting about you.
i hope the people here appreciated that they very well may have witnessed the final performance of Reignwolf ever. I heard through the grapevine that Reignwolf was released from Republic records due to not providing them with any material that may have suggested that he was interested in providing them with an album. He has now not posted anything on Insta or Facebook since the Voodoo performances. His old bandmates are now doing other things and not interested in performing with Reignwolf any longer. This is just something that I heard. I cant confirm that any of it is actually true. But I would be inclines to believe these things based on the fact that he hasnt posted any upates for his fans who are very loyal and who were also very excited in hearing anything that he was going to release. I know that Jordan is not a drug addict and from what ive heard in the past, he doesnt drink or smoke or anything. So I nknow that its not a matter of him being fucked up. Im just not sure that Jordan is really interested in being an artist. Its really disapointing because hes so incredibly talented and people were so excited that someone with that awesome style came along and made a huge splash in the music indusrtry. For god sakes, he toured with the Pixies and opened for Black Sabbath on an arena tour without even having released an album. There were producers like Rick Rubin who were courting him to work with them on an album. Even if he was able to write songs, he could very well have worked with some of the best song writters in the industry today. Im sure there were writers who would have jumped at the chance to work with a guy with such incredible live talent who could have brought their best songs to life. Im extremely curious as to why Jordan decided that he didnt want to persue a career in music. Watch his show at the Troubadour in LA.....Rick Rubin was there. He played an incredible show. Him and his band sounded great. Stitchx and Joseph Braley were a perfect rythym section for Jordan. He had so much momentum going into 2016. Cameron Crowe wanted him for the Roadies second episode. All Jordan had to do was to continue to play and show a desire to create new music and he would have has enough support to create what I think would have been an ICONIC album. The anticipation was there all over the USA. People who has seen him play live were so excited to see him again. Im sure the chances were there, had he released something to open for some of the best bands in the world today. He had the world by the balls and it appears to me that he has essentially squandered that opportunity. I sincerely hope that soon or in the future, that he decides to come out of whatever shell he currently finds himself in and burst back out onto the world stage, because should he decide to do that once again, and do it the right way, he will definitely become of the most popular blues acts that the world has ever or will ever see again. I pray for this dude all the time. Best of luck Jordan Cook aka Reignwolf SC
It seems to be the story of his music career, sadly. I'm not sure what the issue(s) have been, but I've been waiting for him to break out and become huge since he formed The New Alone with SJ (the bass player at this show) and an old friend of mine on the drums in the early 2000's - - they were signed to Epic/Sony I believe it was and it fell apart shortly after it started (the original versions of Electric Love, Losing Faith and another song called Gone Again were their demo/EP songs). Then it took years and years to finally release Seven Deadly Sins even with getting funding ($10k) from a local radio station. He's an amazing live performer and seems to have friends in high places, but there's something about putting his music down for release that always seems to get in the way (or someone else getting in the way of it being released). I really hope this latest revival lasts and is the (re)start to hearing and seeing more amazing music out of him.
