Too many years ago today... April 14, 2010 he left this ball of dirt and went, hopefully, to a better place. Peter Steele, may you rest in peace. Forgotten you are not, never! This is an hommage to Type O Negative and U2. In remembrance of Peter Steele. We still miss him to this day.
Original from U2, but could have been on Slow Deep and Hard, Bloody Kisses, October Rust, World Coming Down, Life Is Killing Me and Dead Again just as easily. They didn't so we did.
We originally uploaded this song on the 1st of April 2014 as an April Fools joke.
We do not own the rights to this song, just made this cover out of admiration of Type O Negative and U2.

I'm nearly 40, this is completely stupid of me... but this is the kind of thing that makes you hope that vampires are actually real, and that Peter Steele is not dead in the conventional sense. ;)

I don't care if this is fake as shit. It is the fucking sentiment that counts.We fans of Type O Negative miss Big Pete dearly and every time someone comes along with a Sound A Like Band doing covers in TON Style it keeps TON alive and our memories of seeing them live remain fresh and raw.

We could never fill the emptyness that the passing of Peter Steele (and with that the end of TON) left behind, but when we read comments like these we feel very, very privileged and proud of having touched the sentiment of one of your, and our favorite bands ever. Cheers!

Me to. Until his death I used to enjoy people thinking I was him (I am 6'7 once inch shorter) and when I shave I had it down in the late 90s early 2000's. After he passed it made me realized what we lost BUT THIS HERE IS COOL. Like the Peter sound-a-like. Who can he be? lol Nice job

I absolutely love Type O Negative. Life got noticeably suckier when I learned of Peter Steele's death; just knowing there would never be any new music from them. But listening to this has brightened my day. Thank you.

This is fucking incredible. I thought I was hearing Pete Steele do this. And I know he liked to do covers of songs most thought he wouldn't. He played the Beatles Dear Prudence at a Halloween show the fall before he passed. I've seen Type O 7 times and you had me thinking I missed a cover they did. Fucking awesome! Keep em coming I say.

Don't know why I'm only discovering this now but this just made my day - been into Type O since '93 and Peter's vocals gave me confidence that you didn't have to be a soaring tenor to do rock vocals. He was taken too soon but stuff like this keeps their memory alive!

Very good cover. Really captures their essence. I am so happy and grateful I got to see Type O Negative 2 times in my lifetime. Thankful I discovered the band off the mortal kombat soundtrack many years ago. It was all over once I heard Blood and Fire! Definitely my favorite band of all time.
