Dude! Excellent call, this is my first time watching his NFL tape... Not only did he look calm, he looked like he stood taller than his listed 5'11" Height. A lot of confidence and potential there. Great leader according to his scouting reports too.
Dawg fan here. Underestimate him if you want. I tried to resist but he shut me up time and time again. He isn't Lamar Jackson, but he will be a solid NFL quarterback. He's very comfortable at qb, inspiring to his team, and talented enough to outplay any perceived physical limitations. May turn out to be one of the best backups ever or a reliable starter on a good team.
Who in the hell ever said he was lamar jackson? Lol they have nothing in common at all. Lamar is a terrible qb to compare to anyone because he's not normal. He runs first than passes. Stetson is a backup qb at best that is his ceiling
Stetson definitely has the potential to be the next Tom Brady. Stafford will probably retire in 2 or 3 seasons, and he is fairly injury prone so Stetson should have plenty of opportunities.
@@LeBraiden23 wait no, it's clearly Caleb Williams by far. But of all QBs in the draft, it's either him or Bryce Young. Stroud also had a stacked team and stat padded against bad teams, so if he can be considered, then Bennett definitely should have.
Definitely has that gunslinger mentality. His pocket presence is well above average, underrated runner, he’ll start for the Rams within the next 2 years. Perfect spot for him to be drafted.
This guy has potential. The arm talent is there, and he has the confidence to sling it around out there. I think under the tutelage of McVay this guy could turn into something special. I get some some Drew Brees vibes from the way he throws the ball.
No shit. I was telling everyone who would listen that he was the best QB in the draft. The rams were the only ones smart enough to know it. He was almost 70% in his career and won back to back Natty's, while beating every single QB ranked over him.
@@travisschuyler5590Well stroud and young had just as many blue chip players surrounding them and actually stroud had more but Stetson passed for more yards in 2022 and won a natty. You could put any of them on teams like you said and they wouldn’t have good records. Bama has the 3 highest ranked classes on thier team and OSU is absolutely loaded so don’t act like stroud and young didn’t have great team surrounding them. 🤡
Yea he has great Arm talent it pops off the screen..great athlete as well he just needs to see the field a lil better but I would definitely start him over stafford
Looked pretty good for his first NFL action. Has to cut down on dumb throws, live to see another down. I think he showed good accuracy and zip over the middle though.
He’s awful and will be out of the league inn5 years tops. That’s what happens when you don’t have 5 star players all around you against high school player and cant only throw check downs for the rest of your career
@@travisschuyler5590what's wrong are you jealous or blind or just football dumb ?? Got to be one of the three to make that comment !! Kid is a winner has been all thru high school on . Give it a break .
I like Stetson Bennett a lot like meaning his character, attitude, and his game on the collegiate level. I hope he’s successful as a pro maybe a poor man’s Drew Brees.
One of the biggest weapons that SB has is his ability to remain calm under pressure. Winning one NCAA championship is one thing, winning it a second time is a whole different beast.
@@patrickmurphy2443expected? Then how come bama and osu cant do it? They actually had more talent especially on offense the past 2 years and both with supposedly better qbs... If its expected how come they were the first repeat champions in the playoff era.
@@BB-ce5ev did you ever see Georgia play? Im guessing not because if you did you would understand and ohio st pretty much did beat georgia if they didnt target and take out harrison jr i say ohio st wins and it doesnt come down to a field goal
@@patrickmurphy2443 dude alabama and ohio state had more talented offenses by far. Uga just has a more talented defense. Also that was a clean hit. Uga came back from 2 14 point deficits and won despite missing 2 field goals and having a bevy of their own injuries. Look at the stat line bennett literally did better than stroud with worse weapons to throw to.
Great pocket poise, good sense of awareness...his passes through the middle were the most impressive. Great pre season start. I wouldn't want to see perfection. There's always things to work on. He's going to be a good starter one day.
He looked poised in the pocket that’s the number one thing. He can move and evade pressure , he make throws on the run. He can sit and the pocket. Give home time he will be the guy
And he's taller than Bryce Young...I think this is a great draft choice. He looked great after calming down and looks very comfortable out there. I guess that happens when you practice against a UGA defense. Everything now will seem slow to him.
@@jimmymartin1902 i understand where he played and what he did i dont disrespect the guy but stand here and tell me he is the reason they won is insane
@@patrickmurphy2443 come on man you know we would not have won the OSU game. If it wasn’t for Stetson he led the biggest 2nd half comeback win in Georgia history and our defense still almost lost us the game on the last drive
He should have been intercepted four times before he "settled down." Afterward, he could only hit 10 yd passes over the middle and was overconfident in his scramble attempts.
The Mailman did a good job on his first outing in this preseason game. Stetson played more minutes than any other rookie quarterback over the past weekend. Stetson has the tenacity to be a very good quarterback in the NFL.
I’d say it’s a toss up between him and Sean Clifford. Both looked pretty good. Few mistakes that can be corrected easily, but both looked real comfortable.
He looked OK, going from bad to better. Let's not forget he's much older than the typical rookie, so that might account for his relative calmness under pressure. I'm a Georgia Tech fan but I do wish him the best.
Considering how terribly that O line was functioning, he actually looked pretty good. Maybe just needs to work on releasing the ball a little faster. The direction of where and who it was going to was extremely telegraphed.
Yeah but he also progressed to his third or fourth read several times, and looked off defenders on some throws as well. Most quarterbacks stare down their first read because that’s what’s supposed to be open
I'm not putting the cart ahead of the horse but this dude looks like he is gonna have a long NFL career. Not sure if it's gonna be career backup but he's got a lot to offer. Very quick release
He threw several really nice passes once he got comfortable. Prior to that he threw what should have been 3 ints. He looks really small out there. But not a bad showing.
It was the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Very athletic, he will learn when to get rid of the ball, instead of getting sacked. I think he did fine, just needs more experience.
Good throws just got to learn how to handle the pressure better most them play were pass interference on the Chargers refers needs to open they eyes and pay attention
he looked a little nervous but i mean who wouldn’t be tbh that’ll go away by his 2nd or 3rd showing. he did float a couple of passes he should’ve put some zip on but anything he didn’t do perfect they can get those wrinkles out over time and practice.
Damn this is the one QB I wanted the Cowboys to pick up soo damn bad. And as usual they let me down yet again but not drafting him when they had plenty of chances to. They wasted 2 picks on spots we didn’t really need. But oh well at least they finally listened and have Will Grier as back up instead of Cooper Rush. And soon Grier will be the starting QB for the cowboys and that will be a huge upgrade. A QB who’s accurate. Lol
I feel like once he adjusts better to the speed of the league he’ll definitely be fine. Some of the receivers dropped some decent passes. Overall he didn’t look terrible for his first debut .
The next Johnny Manziel 😂 All joking aside looked decent. Different game when you don't have a talent gap in your favor at all other 10 positions most of the time.
to think the only reason why he wasnt in the talk for day 1 draft was because he made a comment about him being a bennette and he is 26. but the talent there he ready for nfl. rams got a steal
Bennetts first game compared to Youngs first game shows a struggle for Bryce. He got knocked down on most plays. His O line is weaker than my Grandma. Stetson had the better outing of the two.
I mean there looks to be some potential..he needs to not stare down too much at the reciever almost cost him a couple of times but who knows if he doesnt become a starter he probably will have a long career as a reliable backup
Looked damn good if you ask me DawgNation behind Stettt 4LIFE made a few I’ll advised throws but hey he’s learning some of those late throws you can make in college can’t nomore
He needs to go to one of those beverly hills spas and get a facial like a rock star. He's gotta get presentable. Yeah, and get a publicist to set up photogs of him in a cowboy hat, an pass em out. Dude's ready! j/k
looks damn good. comfortable in the pocket, able to run to extend the play. always looking downfield. no better way to learn then by getting in there and doing it. that goes for all the rookie qbs this preseason. learn to read defenses and the speed of the nfl gm.
This man just makes adhustments on his own,the first of the game he was throwing like a girl then started to put some zip on it and got comfortable, watch him read the defense, say what yall want but stet is a winner at every level and shows up in big games
