When he did Blues Clues, he was more skinny. But when he did this video for instance, he still had hair on his head. I think he went fully bald by 2005 or 06 I believe. So he had a couple more years of hair. He also had a beard and muscles. So yeah big transformation
I like how the original song sounds like it’s encouraging someone, whereas the one used for Young Sheldon is a declaration! That kid heard this song and now uses it as their anthem in life; beautiful song, whether you know if it’s Young Sheldon connection or not.
@@familybabalola8454young Sheldon ended, same with the Big Bang theory, they will continue the story line By making a new movie or show about Georgie or mandy
The message I’m taking away from this song is: Thanks for doing your part, you sure are smart. You know with me and you and my dog Blue, we can do ANYTHING...that we want to do.
bawling my eyes out... lol and also filled with joy to have found him again. My kids and I loved Blues Clues...when he left, it's like a part of us all just went too.
Imagine they did a recut of this animated in the style from Blues Clues, but instead of Steve being portrayed by his young and older self, it's Blue running along side her puppy and old dog self in the mush race.
I started watching Young Sheldon through YT Shorts. Ended up watching all episodes, just in time to catch s7 as it happened. Genuinely emotional to see the show end. Amazing cast, amazing characters, thanks for the memories! On the off chance anyone involved with the show sees this, thanks a ton!!
Same also Facebook has marketed this show as well I came around to it when Annie Potts character Memaw's house was blown away by the tornado last episode of season six and I watched every episode of seven
Steve: Hmm...so what could Blue want to do, with a boy...an old man...and me? Children: Music video! Steve: A music video! Yeah! We could tell an empowerment story with three generational representations all racing toward the same goal! We just figured out Blue's Clues!!
I don't know what went through Chuck Lorre's mind when he picked this song as the Young Sheldon theme song, but that was a smart idea. By the way this song on its own is underrated.
I compose music for theater (theme music, transitions, underscoring, that sort of thing), and I dream of one day being able to capture this much feeling and meaning in such little time and space. The four lines used as the theme for Young Sheldon are an extraordinary theme for that show, though now I see they were written long before even the Big Bang Theory aired. It's an incredibly inspiring four lines. Such powerful simplicity is awesome.
A tired man in his chair He doesn't move he only stares At the machine across the room There's nothing there it's not getting through He shakes his head Finally stands up Throws his hands up In the air A blinding flash across the room A sudden crash A sonic boom changes everything he knew It's everything he's never seen The biggest deal there's ever been Described in light upon the screen It said Nobody else is stronger than I am Yesterday I moved a mountain I bet I could be your hero I am a Mighty Little Man I am a Mighty Little Man I am a Mighty Little Man From way up here you can't look down As of now there is no ground The microscope is turned around Don't be alarmed don't make a fuss He's still like you he's one of us And he'll come back before too long He takes a breath and clears his mind Grabs his coat and steps outside An empty street there's no one there He lifts himself into the air A billion thoughts expressed as one Etched in words Across the sun It said Nobody else is stronger than I am Yesterday I moved a mountain I bet I could be your hero I am a Mighty Little Man Nobody else is stronger than I am Yesterday I moved a mountain I bet I could be your hero I am a Mighty Little Man I am a Mighty Little Man Nobody else is stronger than I am (I am a mighty little man) Yesterday I moved a mountain I bet I could be your hero (I am a mighty little man) I am a mighty little man Nobody else is stronger than I am (I am a mighty little man) Yesterday I moved a mountain (I am a mighty little man) I bet I could be your hero (I am a mighty little man) I am a mighty little man Nobody else is stronger than I am (I am a mighty little man) Yesterday I moved a mountain (I am a mighty little man) I bet I could be your hero (I am a mighty little man) I am a mighty little man I am a mighty little man
Bro this is crazy. I never knew he sang this song. I loved this song for 4 years!? And I didn't know my childhood actor sang this!? LIKE WHAT!?!? this makes my day
Dude I dont know if Steve will ever see this but man.. it's kinda hard to put in words how much this man has been apart of my life. From jus a lil kiddo, getting a lil older putting OG blues clues on baby sitting my lil siblings making them food. Then my mid teens learning he "Went to college" then find his rad music which helped me through alot.. Now 27 doing my best on trying to figure myself and life out. I needed this tonight to remember the growth, changes and wierd journeys life has to offer. Love you steve you legend you 🤘😊
I have been having a very hard time going through my medical school exams and whenever I feel down, I use this song as a motivation. I am a mighty little man. We all are. 💓
Bro, same boat here. I am now in my Junior Internship (4th year) in medschool. It will never be easy, but just remember that it'll all get bettee in time. Remember why we started this journey. For our patients. Stay safe.
I just discovered this song because of Young Sheldon. I wanted to be a doctor from the time I was little. Finally went to med school at the age of 48... now in private practice for 11 years at the age of 67. Never give up on your dreams!
This is great that Steve sings this. I always thought the intro to Young Sheldon was a nice beat. Steve Burns being the artist makes it a lot easier for me. I just found out I have covid but Steve saves my mental state yet again.
I remember preordering this album (Songs for Dustmites) on CD at my local record store. 18 years ago. Damn, time flies. Alternatively, this song has been inspiring me for nearly two decades.
Me too. I was a huge fan of Steve and Blue’s Clues when I was a kid. His song Mighty Little Man is the theme song for Young Sheldon and he’s also on that show.
I remember this song from when it first came out. My manager played this over our in-store play and I've liked it every since! One day, I randomly sang this chorus about my husband and my dog, Jack: "He is a mighty little Jack!" Then, about a week later we randomly decided to start watching Young Sheldon on Netflix, and I was like "That's Jack's song!" Still a great song!!!
I run with my dog ALOT...this song goes through my head so often on those runs. I'm not so old yet. My dog is not so old yet. But I'm getting there and so is he. Good job on the song and video. Nobody else will know who we are or our story. But we are a mighty little man too. And that's cool. Cheers. :D
Steve, I hope you get paid for every play of this song. How amazing! I really had no idea until I looked it up. You ARE awesome. And what a perfect song for such a perfect show! Bless you, friend.
Oh god that's true for me. I was Sheldon as a kid, only not quite as smart. I was way ahead of other kids in my school who were my age academically (I was a year ahead then, and I have a PhD now), but absolutely CLUELESS socially. Young Sheldon is NOT an exaggeration in my case. I really talked like that. I actually did a lot of what Young Sheldon does. I walked into a room full of people who were talking or whatever to announce importantly that Carl Sagan had said something or other that no one in the room was interested in. At age 54, I'm a little more together socially, but still pretty inept. Watching Young Sheldon, after not having been a fan of the Big Bang Theory, is always a very emotional experience for me. I usually tear up at some point during each episode. They never seem to say it directly, but as a person on the autism spectrum, Sheldon speaks for me, and it's so powerful to see his point of view, my point of view, portrayed so sensitively. I never knew there was an actual song that was borrowed from to make the theme music for the show. I thought it was just the most brilliant piece of theme music composition ever! It perfectly compliments the subject, a boy who is capable of anything, who knows his future is boundless, and who hasn't been broken by his being such a misfit. In the piece used in the show, it's power, defiance, and a sense of self expressed so eloquently! Sometimes I tear up just by hearing the theme music. Now that I know about this song in its entirety, well... I'm feeling some very strong emotions right now, and though they're powerful, they feel very good.
@@rjskum688 yeah, she did. Why would I lie? Also, I made a compilation cd for the kids in her class and this song is on it. Maybe you shouldn't accuse me of lying. You don't know me. If you're looking for an argument, pick a fight with someone else. Weirdo
It's amazing seeing Steve do what he loves. When I was a kid, I was adamant that Steve, Blue and all the characters from Blues Clues were real. And I was sad when Steve left. But now as an adult I hear his story. I see his beautiful message to fans of the show. And it's made me appreciate him even more than when I was a kid. I love your music, Steve. I'm thrilled you're getting to do what you love. And thank you for your music as well as your time on Blues Clues and talking to us. Some people didn't seem to know it back then. But you are alive and well. And I look forward to you living many more years, spreading your love for music with you. 👏
When you get old this kind of thing makes you teary eyed...but in a good way. God damn Puff The Magic Dragon does the same thing when you realize how lonely the Dragon ends up.
Many people know this song from Young Sheldon but I been knew this song existed and been knew about Steves music career I'm glad they acknowledged his song in modern day media!
@@LovesDavidCassidy Well yeah...people look better when they're young...he's 46, only 15 days older than I am, and still looks good to me. His hair recession is what pushed him to leave Blue's Clues.
That beginning scene where he drinks a glass of raw eggs is actually a reference to his favorite movie "Rocky" Steve said in another video called "What is Steve from Blue's Clues up to today" that his favorite movie of all time is Rocky which is why he named his pet Boxer Dog Micky after Rocky's trainer. In the movie Rocky, Rocky wakes up in the middle of the night and walks up to the fridge to crack some eggs open in a glass and drinks it. The jogging is probably a reference to the jogging scene in Rocky as well.
I just found out that he made music and damn it's actually really good, great lyrics and voice, can't believe I'm 23 already, time is flying by so fucking fast
I found out about young sheldon series and this music came along. In south america things arent that fast. The show and the track brings me peace. Thanks
