A psychedelic electronic music trio born of the unlikely meeting of snooker legend Steve Davis with Kavis Torabi - current frontman of space prog giants Gong - and Michael York, of Coil (amongst many other incredible credits), The Utopia Strong has for the past few years been a constant and regular source of joy on the turntable. Here they tell the story and some more, enjoy!

I've been enthusiastically playing every single new release of the trio since I discovered them about 3 years ago or so, and Steve Davis has been such a great supporter of this venture, it only felt like it was time to give the band a proper showcase, as besides their respective credits already being so impressive, the sum of it all has really hit a very special spot in what the brain, theheart and the body craves, when it comes to music to challenge and to please. The old way to describe music is rapidly becoming irrelevant to me, as if many would label their pieces electronic music, it is so much more than just that... Think krautrock, pagan folk, whimsical prog, electronic ambient, minimalism, etc. For me, it is just the purest form of psychedelic music, and through their studio albums and special edition live series, we get to hear a band grow and delight exponentially.
Go check their music, it's all there, and you can even buy most of it :
