He is right. She is extraordinarily beautiful with a, perfect pitch, voice to match. He is a great songwriter. Galway Girl is a stunning song - befitting that young woman.
Another year has come and gone Another circle 'round the sun Another thousand tears have fallen I don't ever count 'em 'cause I'm surrounded by your love Days are never long enough Four more seasons on parade Show their colours, then they fade But that won't happen to us, darlin' We'll remember how it was Then begin again because Days are never long enough Time's never late Isn't bound by our fate Try as we may Love might never be found if we wait Until the sun comes up On another day, my love Days are never long enough Time's never late Isn't bound by our fate Try as we may Love might never be found if we wait Until the sun comes up On another day, my love Days are never long enough
O, Lard, I wish the X-IT had loved me the way SE loves AM; actually, come to think on't after all these hard cold years, I wish he had loved me at all. No, he didn't. He only heard his Mama's call. The closer they are, the hurter you fall (till there's nothing left but tears and that old heart-broke squall).
Does anyone know exactly what the patron yelled out at the begging as allison was introduce, after which, Steve replied "sucks to be you" & everyone broke into laughter.???
was the DJ at Dublin called Donald? Just saw the show at Basingstoke and I just wanted to find a bit of info about the DJ - he doesn't seem to be getting much credit anywhere :)
I used to think so. Now seeing those two sing this just makes me profoundly sad. I love Steve as a songwriter and musician, but somehow I don't think he was cut out for the long haul, the way Johnny was with June. I guess Steve "Ain't Ever Satisfied", but I think he ought to just accept that instead of being a serial marrier. This sort of thing trashes my faith in a deep commitment.
Recovering drug addict - he had been sober more than 10 years when they married. But I do miss the collaboration between Allison and Doyle, and I think her career decline has more to do with that than marrying Steve (though having a baby has been a factor lately). I think she needs a co-writer to bring out her best. Not a fan of her solo writing, for the most part.
