So touching ...a song for all of us, really ....written by an older father worried not only about being forgotten, but perhaps mainly, worrying about his young son's ability to stand on his own quite early in life. We all feel this need to ptrotect...I feel it for my grandchildren too, but I have the comfort of hoping their families stay strong and do that for me...such loving words.
I understand the pain and worry that comes with being a father, but it never outshines the love and happiness that my daughters bring me. Truth is the final best thing in the life of a parent is to die knowing your children will live on. There's nothing more unnatural than a parent surviving their children. I to hope my girls remember me
I am a huge Steve Earle fan. Love his music. SO proud of what he has overcome. But all the science to date indicates that the SINGLE most common factor in the growing rate of autism has nothing to do with the "ingestion" or "breathing" of something environmental. The science to date has found that the age of the FATHER appears to be the biggest, single denominator in the autism rate. Men over the age of 50 who father children are about 70 percent MORE LIKELY to have a child with autism or Asperger's than a father in his 20s or 30s
This is why it is not an epidemic; old men should stop fathering children. Earle answers his own questions when he says he was 55 when his child was born. C'est la vie. I still wish him well.
That theory, like many others, has not borne out to further scrutiny. Age of the father is one factor, but we still don't know all the details. (Also, Steve knows that research. He said in an interview that he blamed himself for a while, but then realized that very few of the fathers of other autistic children in his son's school are older.)
If you allow any Dr to give your child 3 or 4 shots before they're two and talking odds are that's the cause Never allow it 2 yrs old and talking then only one at the time accept nothing less I don't care what you're told how safe these shots are and if your pedestrian insist on giving them all at once get a new Dr immediately
