That’s nonsense about the wages. We spend a huge amount on facilities. We had to sell the ground back in 2004 or whatever it was to stop us from liquidation and each year we spend £500,000 just to rent the stadium and then a further huge chunk of cash for the pitch, floodlights etc. This is all before spending money on a budget to stay competitive. If we owned the ground we wouldn’t be in L2, it’s pretty simple. Think of all the clubs in the league who have low costs whereas we have huge costs prior to even concentrating on players
