I feel like Ryan knew exactly what he was doing. That pre-challenge convo was hilarious. When he suggested plunging a finger in upwards of three times as a compromise I lost my sht. Dude, catching up on older episodes has been so worth it.
Lol I feel like the problem with punching in the cheek/crack is it’s not a harsh punishment and that’s why they are so persistent about it being the raw chili ring because that would actually have some sort of reaction but I agree with Jeremiah I like the idea of playing till ones knuckles are bloody than having to put things in the wound to worsen the pain.

Bless you Ryan for the foresight to agree to this challenge with Steve for the sole fact of seeing Jeremiah's reaction, as I know you knew he was not going to be down for it. Jeremiah making the sacrifice for the laughs is a true gift.
Another “bloody” great episode, the return to the spicier origins in these recent episodes is the perfect move. Now it’s back as one of my favourite podcasts.
Gotta agree with Jeremiah on this one, can clearly see how much he had to bite his tongue when reminding Ryan who’s boss at 1:07:55. I think the show’s got a bit weird since Ryan came along: challenges haven’t been as light hearted, he’s a bit too vocal and “big for his boots” in the producer role and has had some weird interactions with the guests e.g. Ian Fidance when explaining the challenge. Jeremiah’s had to make awkward comments a few times and Steve’s not liked his tone or what he’s said on multiple occasions which is uncomfortable to watch. Seems like a decent enough guy and Jeremiah and Steve regularly interacting with him is a kind gesture but you can’t help the feeling he takes sides for the drama which detracts from the lighthearted positivity of the show. Just doesn’t seem the best fit to me, someone more behind the scenes and professional would be better in my measly opinion
