But he is not saying something very very important.... Israel will lose if there is a war. Russia and China will gladly supply Iran with all the guided missile technology it needs. USA has provided guns to Ukraine and Taiwan, so USA can expect the same. But.... the guided missiles are far far more effective that all the expensive hardware that USA is forced to give Israel. In short, the balance of power has changed.
I thought of Mr. Forbes as more astute than this: it seems that it is Iran that tries not to react to Israel's provocations and prevent regional Middle Eastern war which what Netanyahu wants. Trump instigated the Gaza war by moving our embassy to Jerusalem - a disputed city shared by the three Abrahamic faiths - which led to rapidly escalating ethnic tensions. If they can get a hot war going then they can employ the war powers act which will allow them to jail detractors. Also if the fighting is bad enough they might even try to delay the vote.
