Love the addition of the underlining to help follow the parts of the combo, it's a very nice touch and helps a lot identifying what and where you might mess in a combo while learning them.
Just a little tip if anyone is struggling with the df 1 ( 2 1) input in the combos. You can actually do the input with a 1+2 bind aswell, so you just do df *1+2 hotkey* and press it twice instead of doing the (2 1) :) Also thanks for the amazing combo guide!
For ppl struggling with Steve's CH b1 combo and the ws1 part : dont get peer-pressured into thinking that its the only way to play. It only adds measly 3 dmg to the combo at a high risk of dropping it and losing out on 31 dmg, and you can see even top Steves drop these from time to time. Which means ONE dropped ws1 combo will cost you same amount of dmg you are potentially "losing" if you do 10 simplified combos instead. If you cant do the ws1 combo 10 times out of 10 with 0 effort - the risk is just not worth it, mathematically. Funnily enough it will also probably add some lifetime to your poor controllers xD Instead, do the same combo but dont hold back after df12~1. Simply do df12~1, skip the ws1 and continue the combo with f22....
This is my very first Tekken game and I chose Steve. I had no idea what I was getting into with Steve ngl. After 15 hours of hell, Steve FINALLY clicked for me tonight during a practice session. My biggest issue with him was that I couldn't input his stances to save my life. Had the brilliant idea to bind 3 and 4 to an extra button and now I'm suddenly able to input the stances almost every single time. I can now fairly reliably hit 70+ damage combos (which is a gigantic improvement for me) off of normal hits and plenty of counter hits too 😏 Thanks a million for the tutorial
I even got called out by someone by making the same opinion as this, but I actually liked how he shouts bulls eye every CH b1 hit. It feels more satisfying.
1:29 just a correction of the notation it says ub1 instead of ub2 i happened to be confused by it at first. otherwise awesome guide i think its rlly helpful
Im trying to do the run 3 1 2, but i can't do it like you, my carma shifts a little when i dodge to the left. Is it/that really necessary to press 3 before the 1 2 at the end? Can i just run 1 2 2?
im trying the wallsplat after the heat-throw but the timing is very strict. what i found works most for me is pressing 2 times fast like a unique string both the input while holding forward: f(hold)3+4,3+4,1+2,1+2.
For the first counter hit combo, I can't connect the forward 2 2, but I can connect it if I do two forward 1 1 jabs. btw, I don't press x when I do run, hold back and 1 2 2, all I do is run, hold back and 1 2 2.
I cant seem to land the duck cancel while standing 1 no more after the patch. Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem also? If its me does anyone have any tips on how to do the ws 1 affer duck cancel quick enough?
i labbed it for about 3 hours because i suck, you have to hold back after df121 to cancel flicker into the dash for extra speed, youll know you got it right if you can pick them up using f3 1, imo its not really worth the 3 extra damage, it may not be all that "hard" after labbing it for days but the time commitment vs the difficulty scaling for 3 damage isnt worth it imo
Somebody know the trick in the last combo? Somehow i drop the combo at the second wall after it break and i push the B1,2 and the enemy just fly far away and i just drop the combo every time.
how to do the bloodhound move from forward 2,2 ? Do I need to hold the lionheart stance after execution of the forward 2,2? I don't have tekken 8 yet hope someone will reply
you can cancel flicker stance by going into his forward ducking(forward 3 or 4) and then cancel forward ducking by inputting down+back and finally you can do ws1 instead of his moves from forward ducking.
Is it just me or do the combo not 100% work? I’ve always land those combos in practice but when I try those in a real match, I always drop f2,2 for some reason 😔 doesn’t feel consistent
