Hearing Charles Kuralt’s voice is like snuggling the most comfortable down blanket on a cold winter day. Steve Hartman is a close second.

It's so sad people don't remember Charles Kuralt! He helped inspire my love for quirky people and places. The thought of traveling in an RV & reporting the news was so exciting to this kid of the 60's. His stories were the best part of the broadcast. Steve Hartman does a wonderful job, too. 👍🏻

Please keep bringing us the NEWS of the good, because it is news. Between 24 hour cable “news” and social media, we are bombarded with negativity. Garbage in, garbage out, and kindness inspires kindness. Thank you! PS You have the coolest job in the world.

I would hope that Charles Kuralt would never fade from our memories. I watched his segments and specials every time they were on tv and even bought the On the Road DVD's. Here's to you Charlie - you will always be in my mind and heart!

I remember Charles Kuralt very well, and admired his work tremendously! He stood out from the crowd because he found the most interesting stories from around the country! His joy and enthusiasm was infectious. I just loved him and was so sad when he died. It was a huge loss for the journalistic community!

Many years ago I was watching the evening news as they were reporting on a major disaster and Charles Kuralt made a comment that was burned into my memory and I have recalled it every time another disaster is reported. The comment is simple yet profound and makes you realize how insignificant we mortals actually are in the "Big Picture"

Will it be possible for Steve Hartman to do a weekly special of "Charles Kuralt reruns"? If it won't work on TV, perhaps here in RU-vid? I'd like to know (even in black and white), what was America like back then.

It was good to see the motor home in a museum. Thank you for all these stories and thank you Steve for keeping up this tradition.

I always wondered how Steve felt about stepping into Charles Kuralt’s big shoes, and it’s gratifying to see how much he appreciates and honors his predecessor…BTW, he has filled those shoes magnificently.

I remember Charles although I was usually on a date when he was on. I remember that RV and wouldn’t I love to have it. If walls could talk I bet the walls of that RV could tell us all about Charles. That he was kind, had a quirky sense of humor, and had an affinity for the regular every day American citizen that made up this country! Thanks Steve, for keeping On The Road…On The Road!!
