Steve Harvey's future son-in-law Benjamin Raymond tells his story of how he overcame a difficult childhood. Benjamin Raymond's father was in and out of prison the majority of his life. Ben saw his father at seven and didn't see him again until he found him 21 years later on an internet search where his father was in federal prison. Ben's own mother was not able to take care of him and through most of his young childhood, he was in and out of foster care. Benjamin and his mother were separated when he was six months old to foster care and when she got me back every few years she would have breakdowns from mental issues forcing him to be separated from his mother. As a teenager, a very special woman welcomed him into her home and made him feel like a member of the family. Ben surprises the woman he calls “Mom Kat,” and thanked her in person for helping turn his life around. Love changes people's lives.
