Preference over one shade of a particular color is as ridiculous as preference over one skin colors over all. We are all human. And stop validating it as some sort of natural instinct because it's not. It's a preference influenced by society.

Not everyone is always checking for dark skinned or brown skinned girls, take a chill pill. Stop looking for validation all the time, and try to have some self confidence. People have their own preferences, maybe Trey songz likes them lighter, just deal with it and stop with the nonsense already! I'm sure there are some dark skinned girls that prefer light skinned men too, and vice versa.
