Animals talk,we just have to pay attention. I used to have a farm but due to health I live in town and run a feral cat rescue in my house. People are always surprised that the cats listen and respond. They don't understand that I can read the cats language.
@@robinglauser5626 I do the same thing, and yes they understand exactly what you are saying to them, and I read cats very good too. I have been doing cat rescues for almost 30 years back home in Sweden, and my work started up here in USA, (Nashville TN, Then Clarksville) 8 years ago, and I just love to work with those fur babies. I have 6 right now Im feeding and try work with. 4 strays and 2 ferrels. The 2 ferals is one old cat I named Smokey and his daughter baby 7 months old Creamer. Trying to get her tamed (going slowly forward, she is darn cute and smart) and hopefully in a few months now she be ready for rehoming. So far I rescued 7 this summer and 5 of them are in new homes.
@@MaiBLarsen I have over twenty now. I only take unhomed cats and kittens off the street. Most you can't handle when they first arrive. I have done over three hundred since 2019. When I lived in the country I did large and small animal rescue. People used to say that I worked magic with the animals, but it is just learning to understand and speak their language. So happy that you are doing rescue. If everyone would rescue one animal then they would all have a home. I live in Monticello, Arkansas so not to far from you. You should check out Horse Plus Humane Society in Hole in the Wall, Tennessee.

That was very entertaining. Poor Steve. Daniel taking the donkey for a drag was hysterical. I think Daniel has a soft spot for Pepper the pig. So glad baby Reba is doing better. There was no doubt in my mind you were going to name her that. I'm glad there isn't smell-a-vision when it comes to Isaac and Copper. Worst smell ever.

Baby Reba had me worried about her the last time I seen her but now she is looking really good, mama is doing her mama thing which is REALLY GOOD so that makes me REALLY HAPPY.

And if I didn’t talk to my cat about everything and what she thinks, then I wouldn’t be talking very much. DeJay you are a nurture and you donkeys are so sweet because of how you talk with them.

I think you should keep saying "what do ya think", "whatcha think". It's one of your signature sayings, just like how you start your videos with "hey y'all". Keep up the great work, and don't stop saying your signature phrases. That makes up who you are. Excellent video as always.

Oh, I love the name Reba! Fit’s perfectly! Don’t worry about what other people say about the questions you ask the animals. Their not the ones who love on them, feed them or making the effort on a daily basis hustling to take care of them. Just be you! I love your animals! Baby Reba is precious
I LOVE THAT YOU TALK TO THE ANIMALS, I started talking to my dogs also. Probably by the time I got my third dog. I believe that communicating to my dogs makes them more intelligent. When they start responding to me when I speak to them I know they understand me. (Example) I have squirrels around my house, and I will say to Teddy (my dog) lets go see the squirrels (I walk to my front door and look out the screen door) I look to see if there are any squirrels on the feeder, and there is almost always squirrels on the feeder. So after doing this for a period of time, all I have to do is to say Teddy go see the squirrels, and he will walk over to the door to see if there are any squirrels . Thats how I know that my dogs understand me. I have done this many times with Teddy and I started writing down the sentences he responds to. And I discovered that Teddy understood One Hundred and Thirty Nine sentences or questions. Try that on your dog or animals and see how they respond . DJ please don't stop talking to your animals they love it and love you for it. I am a Christian also. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

That was one of best videos. Remembering Rufus, when Daniel had Steve on the harness and Rufus went into protection mode. And how he circled Daniel until he was out of that pasture.

I was glad to see Daniel put a loop behind Steve's haunches to encourage him to move forward. I train all my foals similarly, except that I use a lunge line, loop it around the haunches and tie a knot at the withers, then feed the ends of the lunge on either side of the neck and through the chin strap on the halter. It's easy to control the pressure (pressure and release) without losing your loop as well as control the animal much easier and successfully that way. It works slick with a little patience and practice, and is gentle to their necks and polls (important for all ages but especially so for the babies). There are some great RU-vid's on training to lead too! Nice work :)
