Full-length version of Steve Kimock classic, performed in The Session Room, Hopmonk Tavern, Novato, CA on March 31, 2013. Steve Kimock (guitars), Bernie Worrell (keys), Wally Ingram (drums), Andy Hess (bass).
I saw Steve Kimock play in Newport, KY somewhere around 2000-01 at the Southgate House with an old friend and thought it was close to a perfect concert experience. Laid back, with serious energy and commitment to playing each note. This is close to the feeling I got that evening. Big fan.
Wow! A fantastic version of a great song. I completely enjoyed hearing it, thanks for posting. It makes me miss Zero all the more. I remember driving 11 hrs each way from Madison,WI to Fayetteville,AR to see them.... easier than driving all the way to the bay area..... The next year we went to Fayetteville for a multievening event. It was my birthday and my old lady made it a great great few days.... forever a fine memory, thanks to all who made it happen.
The golden days of the jam scene where one legend has a another legend sitting in any given night. I met Bernie Worell once at a local record shop after a in-store performance that I missed by the time I walked in with a pile of cds to trade for a ticket to Bernies show in a few hrs! The guy goes "Bernies right over there" behind us, and he shook my hand I told him the story and he loved it. It was a heater at Water St Music Hall he was a one and only player!
This is so sweet. My wife and I were visiting her brother in San Fran and made the journey north to catch this show. Had no clue they were filming, which begs the question.... Where can I find the entire show? Awesome work, fellas!
It apparently fell out and he taped it down just for the show and subsequently to his pleasure noticed that the tone increased so he left it and just put more tape to hold it for good
This manimal uses a homemade lipstick contraption all the other Jerry wannabes use a PRS..... Jerry understood the power of good tone timing and most importantly DONT BE BORING!!! FUUUUHHHHHHH
