We will most likely know by tomorrow, because different states have different times that they stop accepting votes. Most states close there polling places at 9 p.m but some do at 10 or 11 p.m This year will probably be a little more complicated cuz of the mail ballots.

@@notsnho I’m English but I think I get the ‘bare bones’. Every State had an allotted number of Electoral College votes, the population of the state determines the amount of votes. For instance, if Biden wins a state that holds 24 votes, that in turn is 24 votes in his favour. That is why the ‘swing’ or ‘battleground’ states (the most populated) are fought for the hardest. Some states will give all their electoral college votes to the candidate who wins but some will split them which makes things more confusing!

If Biden swings, say North Carolina or Texas, it's over. Because if Biden takes any of those states, it will be impossible for trump to make up that lost ground. If those states stay in trump's column, either one of them could still win.
