I love him, he's a genius, this Gemini Rights album took him to a whole new level, I love him with the internet and Ravyn Lenae. I just want to smoke some weed, thrift, make out with him and sing background for him. He's the perfect young artist comprised and inspired by so much, being so multitalented. No wonder "Amber" is such a beautiful gospel build.
I wish they knew him more. I felt like they were just asking questions I’ve heard the answer to multiple times. Nonetheless, Steve content is the best content.
AYOOO STEVE I HOPE YOU SEE THIS ONE DAY!! man i knew it was stamped when the steve lacy ep dropped. "Some" set the tone for me as a fan then you just glided through every song/project you released. the growth is amazing the vocals have elevated and the style is unique you gotta respect it! Definitely reached my top 10 favorite artists ever. And congrats on the 500 milly streams! well deserved
Steve gives me MAJOR Prince vibes, but in a new-age way. He sounds a lot like him on Give You The World… and even his speaking voice is a little similar? Wow.
Admittedly I’m a middle aged dad who only got introduced through my kids on this cat. But he’s the real deal. As a musician too I can really appreciate his talent and also the Internet is such a great band. Great stuff.
I listened to the internet heavily in hs, I remember I was so hyped when steve started his solo career, hes always had so much potential and I was rlly happy when he started doing his own thing, and give his music an identity and whatnot. Can’t wait to see him on tour w fousheeee yesirrrr
Y'all need to use social media to source good questions for artists y'all aren't familiar with. Who was this for. I felt like this is the conversation you have when you're left alone with your friends parents.
Even with his microphone educate he shows how much he cares about his vocals and he thinks ahead of how it would sound.. sonically to make it right... He paint with words . This man's album is amazing glad I found it
Steve Lacy is in my home state! #NYC To have the gift he had at a young age, to be such a contribution to his band that it became a domino effect to other great black artist while becoming his own great artist is a beautiful story. And he is only 24 today.
Ebro yelling at the staff for "bad habit" made me spit out my soda hahaha "ay we got bad habit? Yoo!!! Castooo!!!!!! I need Steve lacey, bad habit!!!!" Hahahah
I agree with u, he’s really good! I’ve listened to him for a long time. He is good friends with Tyler the Creator, Mac Miller, and Frank Ocean who i have been listening to since 2010. I actually met Tyler back in the day.
I love Steve Lacy, but these hosts do him (and all other guests) a disservice. They are fairly unaware and ask dull questions that don't move the interview along smoothly. They aren't entertaining and that's especially off-putting considering their time in the industry...embarrassing, really. This model is so outdated, 'urban/hip-hop' media can do so much better. There are young journalists and music enthusiasts waiting for these opportunities that these tenured talking heads have taken for granted. Truly a shame. That being said, Steve's music is great and Gemini Rights is a nice showing of his growth as an artist. Shoutout to him for dealing with this press tour lol.
@@aaliyahstewart13 That part I have no issue with. I had a problem with them not knowing this was his 2nd album, not knowing the artists hes worked with and produced for, Ebro barely knew he was in The Internet.
This is so weird.. I've been an internet fan since it was just Syd and Matt back in 2011. When they added Steve, I thought he already had his big break after he released his solo project. Im so out of touch with the times but im happy to see Steve having his moment.
Come on! We all know that. But this kid is only 24. Prince welcomed talented new artists. Prince would probably love having a jam session with this kid.
How are you going to have an artist on your show and know so little about them? When Ebro asked him what number album this was for Steve??? Like you can easily google that and research more beforehand to have deeper questions and overall better interview.
Why these people need to do their research before interviewing a guest. I'm answering the questions for Steve, I'm a huge The Internet fan and I love Steve Lacy too. I know all the members of The Internet name, where they from, how many albums they have.
