no only the toxic WWE fanboys who can't cope with another major wrestling promotion existing in the US, predicting since 2019 that AEW will go bankrupt in 6 months...
This 100%. Absolutely. Friendos are a great group who engage in generally positive and thoughtful discussion. Credit to Steve and Larson for promoting this culture too. When the videos include credible, timely and well rounded discussion, it encourages the same in the comments.
I don't watch much of WWE weekly shows because it's not my cup of tea... But I'm not out there actively crying when they succeed or happy if ratings are down or whatever the hell these weird AEW haters do lol
@@WalkBesideMe what happen to liking both compaines back in the Monday night wars we was Allowed to like BOTH WWF and WCW in the the mind 2000s we was allowed to like BOTH WWE and TNA.Nothing wrong liking both shows
I'm willing to bet that these are the same people that whine about AEW going to Max are also the ones praising that WWE RAW is moving to Netflix. The IWC are two things Fickle and Hypocritical.
They’re not comparable though. You don’t have to pay for the WWE events if you have a subscription to Netflix. If you have Max and want AEW events, you have to still pay for them individually.
@@johansvensson833 well for some reason here (Latin America) Bad Blood showed up in my netflix search, and I was able to watch it live, didnt have to pay extra
@@al5306how is that different from having to pay for peacock for ple? . dynamite is going to be included only thing you'd have to pay extra for would be PPVs... Literally called PAY PER VIEW EINSTEIN
@@johansvensson833 I believe Peacock still has streaming rights for PLEs for a bit after they move Raw and SmackDown to Netflix, but I could be wrong about that.
Wrestling fans made me realize the dangers of social media. People lose themselves in daily discourse to the point where they need to feel right to enjoy wrestling. Not a lot or even most at times but def on Twitter. Just the lowest form of humans empowered.
Let's be honest, it's the same with sport and movies. If you're aware of things happening in future like football kits, movie reviews and sub plots you end up liking things less in general. But no one has any attention span in 2024.
@@pieceofgosa how exactly is discussing wrestling inseparable from hatewatching and obsessing over leaks and rumors? Why be condescending to someone giving up toxic behavior?

I honestly don't get why people are THAT upset. AEW is not taking anything out of your pockets, those who watch it are happy the show will continue for several years at least, while those who don't should not care one bit. The hate is completely unwarranted or just downright engagement farming.
@@nWo4lifelmao the hatred started because it’s WWE vs AEW, that’s it. The people on twitter don’t know about Ted Turner situation. They just see aew vs wwe and go crazy
I really like that Larson is wearing a Deadlock shirt. It would be cool to have a collab podcast episode on something current or retro. Call it: Going in Deadlock Also something something engagement algorithm.
A company created by someone for the sole purpose of taking food out of his former employers' mouths and make himself out to be some great indie Cinderella story really does deserve its fate.
Also, please call this commenter out in 6 months when AEW is still doing shows. They're lucky they didn’t bet they'd eat their own hat, cause the friendos would keep them to it.
Regardless of how you feel about any wrestling company, if you feel the need to look for legal advice for something you have zero connection to, you need a hobby
It's been said before, a lot of WWE aren't wrestling fans. That's the mentality needed to be actively angry that an already very small industry isn't essentially a monopoly anymore.
Exactly. Big BIG DIFFERENCE between a WWE fan and a wrestling fan. Unfortunately wrestling fans gotta put up with WWE fans cause we enjoy it too but apparently not allowed to enjoy anything else
I don't understand the people who want AEW to go out of business. WCW going out of business was the worst thing that ever happened to WWF. Competition makes everyone better. I do not think that AEW is on WWE's level yet but I hope that they grow into that in the future. Having said all of that, I do not think that criticism is a bad thing. Toxic positivity hurts the things that you love a lot more than it helps the things that you love.
Not to sound just as crazy as these people complaining and crying, but I’ve been saying for months that I see and experience way more online AEW hate and people praying for its collapse than I do the other way around. TNT can’t even advertise Dynamite or Collision on instagram without getting a comment section full of anti-AEW/TK sentiment. Maybe it’s just my algorithm but the tribes are not equivalent.
Because WWE fans are WWE fans not wrestling fans like AEW fans. Cause majority of AEW fans also watch WWE. Sometimes I enjoy dynamite more sometimes Raw sometimes TNA. Sometimes AAA and I don't even speak Spanish lucha is always cool. Either the most insane move you've seen or somebody dies in a botch and it's great.
@@elchomper.1063i think that is it. AEW fans are fans of wrestling. Why sometimes they cheer for people that they probably don't even know depending on the market. Anecdotal evidence, but definitely my head cannon. lol
@@elchomper.1063 i say the exact thing all the time. AEW fans tend to be all encompassing wrestling fans while WWE loyalists are just that…loyalists. If not, simply casuals who only know WWE and not much else. But it sucks that so much of that tribe is represented online by people who go out of their way literally to bash and troll AEW.
As a soon to be 36 year old that works a full time job and has very little free time on my hands.... I really want to know what drives the people that take the time to post this type of stuff regularly 🤣
I wont lie, I grew uninterested in AEW sometime around Brawl Out - but damn if these negative assholes don't make me wanna support AEW just out of spite. It never was like this back in the day - in the monday night wars, we had our favourites, but we generally would watch and enjoy both products. It's so weird seeing "wrestling fans" celebrate wrestlers having LESS places to make a livable wage.
Because wrestling fans turned into WWE fans. Same kinda deal with politics. You have to support one side completely or be against everything instead of being logical and agreeing with what you agree with regardless of left or right. I can't smoke a joint AND wanna protect my home that's totally irrational to some. Same with wrestling. I can't like osprey and undertaker gotta be one or the other. Can't watch Scooby Doo and then Saw. I want a Scooby Saw parody now.
#HOTTAKE The IWC tribalism between WWE and everyone else IS WWE's own fault. Between them telling us that every other promotion sucks. The way they have booked wrestlers from other promotions/countries. The way they spin their documentaries to fit their narrative etc.
Just look at nakumara or askua as recent examples or just pick a guy from WCW any of them. You can count on one hand the number of guys they didn't bury. Pretending they're an island. Selective island don't help. During Cody vs styles build when styles mentioned ROH and NJPW but wouldn't just say AEW out of pettiness. Like ROH is a sister promotion for AEW and they were building to a joint PPV forbidden door with NJPW. And some E drones claim it wasn't a shot and they're not competing bullshit. Rampage ends when smackdown starts well now after the USA move they air after but nobody is gonna just gonna change channels cause AJ said 3 letters.
I got off social medias to get away from the negativity and the IWC, and it's just as bad in the YT comments! Like what you wanna watch! We are in a great time for wrestling. Don't give others grief because they like a different company than you.
Honestly, this is one of the funniest videos you guys have put out and that's saying something as I am generally in howling with laughter at your antics anyway. Great content. Can't wait for WWE one!
My reaction to your reaction to the IWC reactions caused me to react in a similar way to both of your reactions! Loved it! Call out all of the Biigg Dummies lol.
I genuinely hope that behind these posts are either 1. people doing a bit, or 2. very young people who are being overdramatic and will mostly forget about it by this time next week. Because the alternative? That they're from serious adult humans expressing real thoughts and feelings? Yeah. That's INCREDIBLY unhealthy, and probably needs an intervention.
Does anyone think netflix is an odd home for wwe. Little or no advertising, no need to watch live and children can potentially watch ultra violent content if parents dont lock it down😮 No declared streaming numbers.
Ticket sales will go up if more people can stream and enjoy the product. In the uk AEW is on terrestrial tv three times a week and attracted a massive gate at the first All In. Streaming for free is also available.
People somehow forget that AEW was pitched to finish their first 5 year contract averaging only 500k Viewers. They have exceeded that number. Also not that people care, but they hit roughly 1 million viewers when you throw in DVR numbers as well. Like it or hate it, but AEW is doing fine.
To keep this canon Larson shouldn’t be on the Raw review and replaced a Sid cut out 😂. Or he shows up with jewellery and a more elaborate set up 🤣. Show off that Khan money.
I don’t like aew so I don’t watch it but it baffles me that this many people crap talk a company for just being alive and healthy Jesus these people are more obsessed with aew than aew fans 😂
I haven't been a AEW fan in a while, but I'd never wish them to fail, the more wrestling the better for wrestling fans as a whole... the outrage is a tad silly
The level of whining in the online wrestling fanbase truly makes me ashamed to be a fan some days. But then you get little gems, so it balances out. At its worst, we're scum. At our best, we're glorious.
The funny part is that AEW is back to being a good product, it's been the case for months. Roman is still on top of WWE. Just saying, haters chose the wrong time to be mad.
Automatically makes them more successful than WCW. That's a subjective fact. September 95 to March 01. 5 1/2 years.... Within 6 months aew will have outlasted WCW and the WWE altitude era Monday night war fans CAN NOT DEAL WITH IT.
People care way too much about a product they do not watch. If anything, AEW getting a new TV deal pushes WWE to keep making good content. We saw what happened last time WWE stood mostly unopposed. It was some of the worst wrestling that has ever been produced.
