I always hate to hear pros and wannabe-pros say "You must only ink with a brush. Period. Micron pens are WRONG!" because, while i do love inking with a brush, I agree with guys like Mike Huddleston that you should use anything that makes the mark you want. Pens are always derided because some say an artist can only get one line weight with a pen. And that's just not true. In the right hands, a pen can achieve some pretty dynamic lines. It's like with guitars. A cheap guitar in the right hands can sound better and more expressive than an expensive instrument in the hands of a novice. It's all in the hands, dude.
This video has inspired me. Hmmm... Maybe I should letter the traditional way. Doing it digital complicates things for me. I will at least make the word balloons traditionally.
Amsome inks. I always put a small piece of paper underneith my hand when I'm inking comics. So that I don't smear the ink all over my drawings. I also always ink the panel boarders last.
