Steve Martin and his neighbor and longtime friend, writer Adam Gopnik, have a conversation about their conversations they used to create Steve’s audio-biography, ‘So Many Steves.’ After writing his memoir ‘Born Standing Up’, Steve realized he had more to add to his story, and telling it in audio allowed for a more expansive, life-like telling that could be filled in with his original banjo music. Here, Adam and Steve discuss what they would tell their younger selves today, how the pressure to work manifests in their daily life, and why they wanted to sound super high-brow by referencing EE Cummings in the title of Steve’s audio-biography.
